I'm so happy that I'm catching the tail end of this series almost straight into DRG's games. Though I gotta say DRG's zvp doesn't look that strong. His management especially in the late game seems to be pretty non existent, at least from the zvp games I've seen of his. Here's hoping that he brings something solid past the mid game.

I know everyone is saying that colossi aren't the answer (but I have to note that no answer seems to work as we can witness in GSL), but last year the thing that "solved" this build was a fast 2 colossi build without (then with) range. Dunno what changed for this to not work anymore (and it's perfect vs scv pulls where stalkers are awfuls)

Tails then engages Taeja's army and loses most of his units, with only the very recent warp-in saving him. That was actually extremely well-timed by Tails.

I missed the part where a T can instantly research cloak???

Yes VR loses to cloak, but we haven't seen any T even flirt with the idea of cloak tonight. It's not that hard to look at a tech lab on a starport. If it's green... get detection.

That being said, this 1/1/1 build is really absurd.

Hasnt been figured out for over 6 months. I think that I have a good understanding of SC2. The only thing I can see work is mass stalker with sentries from a fast expand, similar to what naniwa did, and stall them crazy long (which is insane to do, as the banshees are just LOL IM IN YOUR BASE).

Are you saying it is not? In every bo3 TvP it's used at least once by the Terran and it's a win :D


Did you read what I said? Remember back when 5 rax reaper was viable (pre reaper nerf)? It was used virtually EVERY game. If the strategy WAS uncounterable it would be used EVERY game.

It's not, so you're wrong. Stop whining and get better.

What rock have you been living under lately? MKP did it to virtually every Protoss in a recent Tournament, infact he did it to Sase TWICE in the finals. It is currently like 21 wins 3 Losses in the GSL.

Well this build has been around since beta. You're right. It's not necessarily imba because you can stop it with good micro and positioning. But there doesn't seem to be a completely reliable way to stop it yet. If it's stoppable but only with 1-2 builds would you still argue it's balanced?

I want more ideas for playing vs Toss in lategame so i don't die to a blaze of aoe =p


Winrate statistics would have me believe that, since September of last year, Korean Terrans have never, ever "struggled" against Protoss save for the one time in February when KA on large maps was considered OP.

The other end of the story is that zerg got massive balance changes. Infestor change was dramatic. Zergs started to micro. Also if you look at the race winrate stats... ZvP had Idra. That's it.

Tails my god. Do you want to cut it any closer?

PROTIP: If you have just used guardian shield, and there is a small bioball shooting your nexus, don't wait for the shield to disappear and the nexus to get to like 100 health before doing anything about it.

I really don't want Taeja to win, he's one of my least favourite Terrans ><


I feel like adding BFH to terran bio will be the next evolution of mid/late game, they roast zealots so fast and since toss is so zealot heavy it will do a ton of damage, and stalkers do less damage to them.

Yeah his gamesense is abit lacking in ZvP lategame, but his micro/macro/mechanics is top notch and i think it will hold through code A
