Top 6 from last season qualified for this season - TL wasn't in last season 2 spots were open for qualifiers - TL didn't try to qualify
Somewhat related, keeping 6 of the top 8 is a little too many IMO.. It should have been top 4 + 4 from qualifiers. I guess they were forced to do that because EG finished sixth...

Each weekly match within the Evil Geniuses Master’s Cup Series League will consist of three 1 vs. 1 best-of-one matches, three 2 vs. 2 best-of-one matches, and if necessary, conclude with a single 1 vs. 1 best-of-three ace match. As desired by fans, the 2 vs. 2 match-up will now utilize the best-of-three format.
3 2v2s? I'm confused, you mean 1 BO3 or 3 BO1 or 3 BO3? Also the 1v1s are BO1?

Good luck on Season 6. Hmm this post is unnecessary TL and Korean teams aren't on the league because it's an online tournament. Scheduling matches will be hard and also you got to consider the latency issues. It seems it's not a problem for the GosuCoaching Premiere League 2. Team Liquid is participating in it. Check out the thread here http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=244553 Did you watch the last season? TL and the tourney coordinators won't agree on terms. TL want to play on Korean server while EG disagrees and all matches should be held in NA server. You made the claim that Team Liquid isn't participating because it's an "online tournament." I refuted your claim by providing evidence to the contrary. The fact being that Team Liquid does participate in team leagues when it's online such as the GCPL 2. I know TL participated in other online leagues. I kinda word it incorrectly but i thought your senses is good enough to understand what i meant. O well I apologize I'm just saying because i watched and read the argument last season. I don't know why you responded w/o knowing anything at all.
I'm aware of the issue, I participated in the discussion, too. EG refused to alternate servers to make it fair for the European and international teams. Playing solely in NA punished teams who have players in Europe, Korea, etc. Tyler made some good arguments in that thread why this particular Team League was being unfair.
So, I suggest you check your assumptions at the door before you accuse someone of responding "w/o knowing anything at all."

What Dignitas and Fnatic fiasco??
Could someone explain this to me?

posting my personal opinions no one gives a flip about

can't we get past the fact that TL is not in this? and just enjoy the league QQ

Not this again guys.. please.

Really not a fan of 2v2 bo3 but I guess it is a change of pace at worst.

IIRC, Fnatic was out of the playoffs for the team league so they didn't take it seriously on the last day- they played xeris against dignitas and dignitas was fighting for a playoff spot or positioning.

Looking forward to it! It'll be nice seeing the 2 new teams compete. I hope EG can pull out some good games while living in the EG house and take the tournament this season! EG Fighting!!

now this shit again... If you want to know the reasons just go read the previous season thread the reasons are there.

other way around. fnatic was already in the playoffs and lost the last ace because xeris played

Yeah, so let's all stop bringing it up please >.>
Hoping I can catch some of this -- I usually got home right when it was ending, so I could only watch on days where it ran long, but I enjoyed Idra's casting when he was on. Hopefully I'll be able to follow this season more closely. Looking forward to it!

I am just stating my opinion. No idea why people going crazy that TL is not in it.
Complexity/fnatic/sixjax fiasco... for people who don't know. Complexity and sixjax were fighting for a playoff spot and only way to get it for Complexity was to beat fnatic. If they lose, sixjax gets the playoff spot. Since fnatic had a guaranteed playoff spot, they put a douche-Xeris to play so Complexity had an easy win. Sixjax felt they were betrayed and I agree with that.

I'm excited to see Team Empire and It's Gosu in the new season. Any chance Drewbie and Catz drop a bo3 in 2v2? lol
