Gogo Thorzain :D That being said, I'd be happy if any of them won. Ret seems like a great guy and has been playing well, and Tarson is awesome! Love how he keeps performing in these lan tournaments so consistently.

Yes, I think losers winner will have to win 2 best of 3s.

This is no MLG....

It doesnt need a stupid extended series rule.

That has nothing to do with extended series. Pretty sure it's standard tourney rules to have the person coming from the loser's bracket have to win two series. It's only fair since that would be the other person's first loss. I don't know if this is how they're doing it though. I think I remember ESL giving a one game advantage to the winner's bracket winner in the championship match, although I may be mistaken.

That is correct, see also HSC where nani was awarded 1-0 against Huk in final.
So many people think extended series=double eliminations lol

Ret hwaiting!!!!!

Played some great games yesterday, especially against Nani, hoping he takes the tourney or at least qualifies for Blizzcon.

Do they have any rules as far as players meeting twice? Ret has already played and beat both Naniwa and Tarson, so if he loses against Thorzain, either way his next opponent is someone he's already beat.

That being said, I really want either Ret or Tarson to take this.

Ok, fine! I will correct both of you, but I didn't want to! We need two suns! And seasons are not caused by the rotation of the earth around the sun, they are caused by the wobble of the earth's rotation on its axis, which coincides with the 1 year time-frame of the earth rotating around the sun.

hahaha yeah you're right there ... but without the earth orbiting the sun there wouldn't be seasons either, would there?

While weäre at it, someone should move Korea next to great brittain. There's plenty of space beside it.

That's an interesting question and I'm not sure the answer. I don't think there's any direct correlation between the rotation of the earth around the sun and the earth's wobble on its axis, and if there is, I'd imagine it's quite minuscule. The reason I say this is because gravity tends to negate imperfections such as fast rotations and off axis spinning. This can be seen in the moon and why we always see only one side of the moon and not the other no matter where on earth you are. It's rotational speed around the earth is in direct correlation with its rotational speed on its axis due to its close proximity to the earth and strong (relative to the distance between the earth and moon) gravitational field the earth produces. Over time (a very very long time), the earth will do the same in correlation to the sun. The wobble of the axis is probably caused by the primordial makeup of the solar system when bodies were coliding against each other. Over time, I would assume that its angle of rotational tilt would also lessen due to the equalizing forces of gravity throughout our solar system. But that's just a guess. It'd be an interesting topic to research.

Wait, what we were talking about? Oh yeah. THORZAIN FIGHTING~~!

Wrong. Please read about tidal locking.

BTW, seasons are caused by the inclination of the Earth's axis of rotation (23.5 degrees or so), which affects the amount of sunlight that reaches any given area. Less sunlight = less heat = colder.

None that I'm aware of. Also can confirm that for someone to come through losers and win they will have to win 2 best of 3s.

I'd suspect that earth not being round plays a part, together with the strong magnetic field. interesting to think about. ..

And on subject : just wishing for awesome games. glgl

Please feel free to point out exactly what is wrong with what I said. Nothing in that wiki article contradicts what I said from what I can tell. And the second part is just repeating what I already said, although after reading a wiki article I'm sure. I mean seriously, who has has the earth's degree of wobble memorized.

Did I mention...THORZAIN FIGHTING~~!

The worst rule ever invented in tournaments. Why not just tie weights around his hands and blindfold him as well and then have him win 2 best of 3s?

If this tournament was stand alone I'd want Ret to win since he hasn't had a big showing since Assembly Winter. However since the top 2 get to go to Blizzcon I think it would be better if Thorzain and Naniwa made it because they will be training in Korea for a while and will have a better shot at beating the Koreans at the world finals.
