Also, the pools will clean themselves out eventually now that Koreans are being invited every event. It's a work in progress and it's not like you can just kick people out of pool play.

I'm incredibly happy that BoxeR showed some good play finally, I've been a huge fan of his for many years, since his legendary BW days. I'm also incredibly happy that the Koreans put out another fantastic showing, the level of US tournaments has gotten so much higher since they started inviting them.

Watching 4 terran koreans battling out aint just that much fun in my world, simply cause I dont really bother which of them that wins. I mean I was almost certain that either MVP or MMA would take the tournament from a relatively early stage, but do I care which of them win, not really... To be honest I thought the last 4 players in MLG was close to the least intresting combination of players achievable. If rain had played instead of boxer that would actually have been the least intresting finals possible imo. I mean anything would have been better, Naniwa, Idra, some completly unknown, or even Alica/DRG would all have been much more intresting. And the builds where all the same also. How many games was there something close to: wall in with depo+baracks, hellion aggresion, expand behind it and from their into some variation of tank/marine/viking+likely a raven and then into a late stage with some ghost+maybe thors? If it needs to be 4 people from 1 nation with 1 race cant they at least go different builds... Well to be fair I didnt watch the last 2-3 games cause a car bomb exploded just outside my house (not kidding) before the matches started and that was a lot more intresting. If there had been a foreigner or two among the last 4 I might just have skipped the car bomb for a couple of hours :p koreans can offer the best starcraft currently if you find them boring just because there are no foreigners in it means you dont like starcraft

![]() Just wondering if anyone else had problems watching the regular free stream on Day 3, for some reason mine kept freezing every 15-20 seconds and basically meant I had to stop watching the final round of games D:

did you actually watch the games? they were really good TvT the build only doesnt make a game good or bad, its how u execute it that does, plus MMA went for a different style pretty much always, providing a lot of excitment . koreans can offer the best starcraft currently if you find them boring just because there are no foreigners in it means you dont like starcraft Yeah obviously the excution of the build is the determining factor when everyone uses the same build. It just gets more boring then it could be, I mean we could have had PvP being "who can do the best 4 gate" forever but after a while some said "wait, aint this pretty boring?" and then they changed it. And about starcraft as general, or any sport really. Can be a soccer game, say Inter vs Milan, what do I know about this two teams, absolutly nothing. Do I recognise that they are great at what they are doing, yes of course. But does that make the match intresting if I dont have some sort of relation to the plp playing, not really. I mean obviously it is more intresting to watch Boxer vs Rain then watching 2 lesser skilled players but still if you compare it to say the dreamhack final being a 10, that was maybe a 4.

Inc, Machine, Drewbie etc, imagine if instead it was Major, QXC etc in Pool play? One of the reasons it always looks so bad is becuase the Koreans stomp Z class foreigners who earned their spot in Pools when no one knew what the hell was happening with SC2. Its a much more developed game these days and that shows. They're stomping the A class foreigners too.. Naniwa IdrA Sheth Ret Kiwi I agree that the lower end of the pools (drewbie, machine, incontrol) should be weeded out for more top foreigners as you said, but I wouldn't expect that to make that much less one-sided.

Uppsala, in the largest student area (Flogsta). Actually the second car to explode on that parking lot on a month. Uppsala is apperntly the great crime town, who would have figured ![]()

On that note this prove why foreigner need to step up their game rather than complaining Col.Catz"the korean are taking our money". Anyway am glad they invite korean to MLG it made the competition more credible to watch. I mean winning a sport and claiming your the best in the world without inviting the best players really mean jack shit.So enough with QQ and stop trying to ban korean from MLG. ESPORT FOREVER. There is something of a balancing act here. On one hand I believe it is good for the top Korean players to play in NA and EU tournaments and kick some butt. It will drive the NA and EU players to improve and hopefully reach the same level, which will improve the game and the quality of spectating the games for everyone. On the other hand, if they CAN'T step up, then it will not be so good for MLG and the other NA/EU tournament series, because the fans are not going to be as excited watching the Koreans duke it out as they would be if there was a home-town hero in the finals.

Although, if I had both open and muted one, the muted channel would have to be refreshed after a couple of minutes if I wanted to hear sound.

Do you know who else is 17? Fucking Marineking. Do you know who is 15? Leenock and SC. Tbh, Slasher was right about nearly everything (except he thought Boxer was gonna fail), and scoots and wheat heavily disagreed. They thought that foreigners were going to compete and Idra and Huk would be in top 3. They also cited qxc vs MVP as a reason MVP wasn't gonna do well (or maybe that was Bitter in an MLG cast can't remember)

That being said I really enjoyed this event and believe that this is once again a wake up call to foreigners to practice harder.
