and there are tons of starcraft: bw fans here atm and this was THE chance to show them that Starcraft 2 is more fun and can be better than bw.... You are sadly assuming that koreans a bunch of dumbasses, each and every one of them. They know its is just a showmatch, its suppose to be fun. It is why they have friendly banter, it is why there is so much chatting and laughing. Those BW fans may have bias towards their own game but they also are not stupid enough to judge a entire game based on a simple showmatch between old rivals, one player who probably does not even own a copy of the game. Doesn't matter a lot of casual gamers / bw players (who don't follow sc2 at all) want to see a good game even though they were expecting a bad game (because it is a show match between a pro vs a gold level player) Doesn't hurt to give them a impressive game to show that SC2 is indeed a very fun game I'm not saying they will be judging the whole game based on this game they are already judging SC2 and they are judging it pretty badly lol so I'm just saying this was a really good chance to show them a really good game of sc2 to hardcore / oldschool BW fans A 3rd time. BW lovers wont be impressed even IF Yellow practiced a month. The level of those games will not be close to high level BW. Boxer and Yellow are famous and old school, you need people like Puma/MC/Nestea for really high level games to impress BW fans. YEA THAT'S WHAT I SAID IN THE FIRST POST Since this showmatch will / have not impressed the hardcore BW fans THEY should've shown Nada / July (BW players) or Nestea/MC/MVP pro match on Big Stage where SC2 lovers & BW fans are watching together!!
Nada/Juli and the others can be seen at the GSL all the time. This was specifically a game between two old school BW pros. You want something completely different to what this was.

;_;
I know people that are C at SC1 and are like platinum/diamond at SC2. Likewise with SC2, highmasters and like D at SC1.
Different games, guys!

And considering yellow is MUCH better than me at BW, he should be higher than diamond.

They need to have a game between Nestea and MC or Nestea and Bomber right NOW! on STAGE!!!!!! Uh, if you never played or watched SC2 (like the BW players you speak of,) then you wouldn't know how high level play can get. And BW players aren't braindead. They know Yellow hasn't played this much. I highly doubt they were expecting Jaedong vs Flash in SC2. I'm saying that there are a lot of ppl / gamers in korea who are not interested in SC2 SC2 is pretty damn unpopular in Korea compared to BW and this was the chance to get more players to convert to SC2 and BW and yes even though they didn't expect a super high level game, if they see a boring game they will simply continue to think that SC2 is an inferior game compared to BW Again Boxer vs Yellow will never convice BW lovers that SC2 is good. You need Nestea vs MC or games on the level of the NASL final at least. You just seem bitter. That... is what I said in the first post... They should've shown a show match between Nada and July or Nestea and MC on this big stage to convince the hardcore BW fans..
Dude, what dont you people get? We like BW because it´s BW, not just because the players are good.
For instance I play SC2 a lot and watch it a lot but I enjoy BW more simply because it´s a in my opinion superior game, no SC2 match can convince me otherwise.
Face the facts, people have different opinions and stop trying so hard to "convert" people to your own game.

I was expecting more epic matches for the BW fans

haha it was fun =)... thank you for the games!

That's kinda shallow isn't it?

Most of the crowd leaving before it is over shows that SC2 is not well liked at all in Korea. It's going to be a long time before SC2 catches on in Korea.

There have been plenty of great games and opportunity to convert BW fans. If they haven't converted by now they simply are just going to find any reason to not switch and poo on the game. These could have been the greatest games ever played, wouldn't have converted tons of people that are STILL bw fans and hating on SC2.
Fact is, SC2 is booming outside of Korea, it would be great of Korea really was on the SC2 bandwagon(and they will after the next expansion and BW keeps becoming more and more irrelevant) but for now it isn't like eSports HAS to have Korea fully on board for SC2.
I just find it crazy that people are upset because they thought somehow 1 showmatch between a guy practicing a few weeks and boxer was going to somehow make everyone in Korea all the sudden love SC2.
I still don't understand why people can't just like both games....?

what is the announcement...!!!!!!!!!!!

Then they can watch GS regular season..... This is a special showmatch event.... Seriously, stop complaining.

Hi, please go play on the korean ladder.
Please consider that Yellow isn't considering to play this hardcore.
Please consider that Yellow's control, decisions, and little things he did in that game shows he has the position to be masters, but his knowledge is much lower than is thought be.

It was said he didn't ladder much. If he only started a month ago, it's reasonable for him to be placed in Korean gold, and not have been promoted yet due to lack of laddering.
