After a very successful GCPL Season 1, I'm happy to announce the 2nd season of the GCPL! The eight teams will be fighting for a minimum of $5,000 in prizes!

GCPL Season 2 is about to begin...
What's new?
A new system for teams that will hopefully make playing more convenient! Teams with multi-national rosters will have the option of server switching in alternating games to limit disadvantages due to lag. New maps, new teams, and broadcast days from Saturday to Tuesday.

Yeah. I'm normally not the biggest Team League fan but the GTSL and GCPL are the two teams leagues I never missed a match of.

I don't think Millenium will apply, considering they didn't even apply for the EG Cup 2. I believe the manager wants to be sure he has a stable roster beforehand and he can be there to manage them (it the holidays in France)

Nice to see Team Liquid participating. I'm assuming that you guys will switch between servers depending upon the player's location instead of just playing on NA? I know that Team Liquid decided not to play in the EG Master cup because they only decided to play in NA.

I don't know what the schedule for the qualifiers are. But it will be fair if Complexity vs Sixjax will be played first. That way the loser can still participate in the qualifiers.

It isn't GSTL style, its EGMCSL style where they all play preset matchups. First was Mihai vs Minigun and I think Minigun won.

Haha to everyone who's asking, our roster consists of: xxelitexx, myself,  Forbs, sTkSooch, amonkey,  Fan, Risk, Racenilatr, Mikey, and Wompbeatz.

A full team website is coming soon, but this is all we have at the moment.
We're also participating in APL and ESEA at the moment, and are looking to compete at MLG Raleigh too.

oGd is a really sick clan o.o, we clan warred with them once and it went really well, nice and mannered, some of the players even gave tips afterwards. Surprising that they aren't one of the more well-known up and coming teams.

Congrats to: Sixjax, compLexity, and Empire for qualifying for GCPL Season 2! Expect an announcement tomorrow with a schedule, times, etc for the league.
Also: we will be having mandatory server changes [provided: the team requesting a server change provides an account for the opposing team to use] for players in different regions. The matches will alternate, (I.E. for a NA vs EU cw, Game 1 is played on NA, Game 2 on EU, Game 3 on NA, Game 4 on EU, etc).
We will attempt to broadcast as many matches live as possible, when we can. We will also be using new maps, and featuring some new casters!

Sucks so much that Empire lost Nerchio; all due respect to Aristeo since he's a great player, but there's a big difference between the two, and it's a massive fall off from their big 3 to the rest of their line up now which kinda sucks when most clan formats need 4 players min to participate.
I'd be rather surprised if he takes games off anyone really again.

Hey guys. I want to apologize for the lack of coverage right now with GCPL. I've been dealing with a lot this past week, not only with the NASL situation, but moving to a new place, getting ready to start grad school, etc, and simply have not had the time this week.
Starting in Week 2 you can expect the same great coverage of GCPL games, I promise! Thanks for your patience everyone.
