The Korean representation isn't quite as strong as last time. I disagree with your post. I feel that players like Check, SlayersGolden, ZeNEXHack, and BBongBBongPrime are all fully capable of beating nerchio in any stage of the competition. But I wouldn't put any of them, even Hack, above Nerchio at this point in time. He's a top-tier European up with Thorzain and Naniwa at the moment. Let's not overdo the fanboyism and ridiculous expectations, shall we? Hmmm? It's not like any of those Korean players are top-tier, and Nerchio is very good. Please don't throw around ad hominems. I'm not a "fan" of Nerchio even if I respect his play. I save my fanboy squeals for Jaedong. It's not an ad hominem. Everyone always does this just because a player happens to have mild success in the foreign scene. It happens all the time. Moon is, or at least was, terrible by Korean pro standards. At the same time he still destroys foreigners like it was nothing. These Korean players are absolutely nothing to scoff at, not even by Korean standards.

Even the best foreigners have not beaten these B class players from Korea in the last few weeks of the TLOpen with any consistency. They keep taking the majority of the top spots. Nerchio may be good, but the Koreans are better. The results show it. I doubt all the "best foreigners" have been actually competing in the TLOpen. The only really notable ones here are Major, Nerchio, and Ret.

This is not a lan and therefore you have to take lag into consideration and Nerchio have had a lot more than "mild success" lately. I would classify even winning a LAN once, if it was only foreigners attending, as mild success. Consistency against Koreans is the only accurate measurement of anything Starcraft.
