To be fair, it was actually 7 out of 50 - 2 came in separately through the Open. Really? I thought only 1 spot was available in the Main Bracket from the open. As in those who ranked 1st - 10th in the regular season went straight through, the 11th - 20th place finishers going through playoffs and the top 5 going through to the main bracket, and the 16th spot going to the Open bracket winner. Alive replaced Strelok who was not able to attend the finals due to visa issues.

You come for the starcraft, you stay for the kpop I can't fucking stand kpop. I like some of the SC2 parody songs more (which isn't hard, really), but I don't particularly care for a live performance of them. The musical act is a live performance of SC2 parody songs? Oh my. :X The production is so embarassing. I wish they put more emphasis on the games. A B05 for the first rounds for example. Flying all the way just to lose 1 B03 when there's actually time to play more games is just horrible. And at the very least have this extra fluff at a time where no one really cares. Instead, they put the actual games at a time not conducive to Euro.
yup i really hope they change the playoff format in the next season, should be double elimin for sure.

If so for the same prize money? I'd imagine Huk would really want to be in the next one. I'm amazed how MC can dominate the tournaments he's in. He must practice a lot and hard! They said its CONFIRMED for 3 seasons. Apparently Seasons 1 and 2 will have a $100,000 prize pool whereas Season 3 will have a $200,000 prize pool.
As for what beeehappy said about MC, that's the result of both being talented and knowledgeable with the Protoss race and many hours per day of meaningful practice. It is clear that oGs train their players very well.

Isn't it 7 out of 11 from the regular league? 2 from the Open tournament (puma and alive). But still very impressive nonetheless and quite sad that PuMa only had to play an open tournament and skip over the 3 months league and get to the finals >.> I hope MC wins because at least he managed to play for 3 months with the playoffs and this tournament :p To be fair, he had to go 8-0 in the Open Tournament (against players such as Dimaga, linko, Nightend, Clide and Alive ) to get into the Ro16.
Fuck, he played more games than White-Ra to make it to the finals! :D

I stand corrected.

None of those players play P at a level that MC does either. Puzzle and Sage could be up and coming, but his games VS Squirtle were imo showed that mc should take this easy. Huk in the quotes thread even stated the same, his vsP against Squirtle would have gotten wrecked if that was MC handling it.

I feel scared for whoever is preforming in the musical act as they are at the mercy NASL's pro sound guy.

Sheth did great, Idra was a bit unlucky with the draw... but let's not talk about the rest of the players.
NA started out with the largest amount of players from the three major regions and managed to become the smallest in the span of a single season. Not one player from NA managed to qualify for one of the 12 new spots in the Opens. (Major, inka and Bubbles got close but couldn't pull through).

Koreans fly in
Money flies out
Most certainly explains starcraft

One would hope so. Otherwise MC's win rate would be 100%, not 80%.
Also... Wait, what? That's just what I said. MC lost to Polt/Bomber/MMA?

I think MC is def going to win, but those gaimz vs sen..... DAYMN!!
|
What Dayrian said. PuMa is in the up and coming, but not in the dominant terran groups. MC losses are to crazy good Terrans and those losses weren't Bo7 matches, and MC is on a couple different levels than every one of those Protoss. If this was Bo3 PuMa would have better chance, but a Bo7 in the end is gonna be what lets MC shine.
MC is a contender for Top 3 in the world. His micro has always been insane. He will play pvp and have the same unit comp as the opponent, and at the end of the fight be up like 5+ units. And lately he is playing bw-esque macro oriented.
Would be cool upset, but Obama-Toss is about to be 50k closer to the 1 million prize pool he wants before military service. He has also stated his goal is for 7 major large victories. If he is counting large prize pools outside of GSL (this would be bigger payout then gsl i believe), he is getting closer!!

what are the maps? how can you guys even begin to make predictions without considering the maps?
this is especially so since i have a feeling 1 base scv all ins are going to be used at least once, if not more.
