The musical act is a live performance of SC2 parody songs?
Oh my. :X

To be fair, it was actually 7 out of 50 - 2 came in separately through the Open.

Isn't it 7 out of 11 from the regular league? 2 from the Open tournament (puma and alive). But still very impressive nonetheless and quite sad that PuMa only had to play an open tournament and skip over the 3 months league and get to the finals >.> I hope MC wins because at least he managed to play for 3 months with the playoffs and this tournament :p

Well, he just made it to the finals for the first time in 4 tourneys. He was stopped short of the finals at Columbus, Dreamhack and HSC3.
You should be happy that great play is rewarded with a good degree of consistency by now, though. It's a sign that the game is stabilising.

Hope MC wins since he starts to play BWish, expanding and macro oriented. His last games were awesome.

Mhm.
Out of all the Korean players in the regular season, EDIT: only 4 didn't make it through the playoffs or become top in the regular season to earn their first place spot. Strelok couldn't make it to the NASL Grand Finals because of visa issues, so Alive took his place.
+ Show Spoiler +In the main tournament, the only 3 Koreans to get eliminated were:
BoxeR - losing 2 - 0 to MC, another one of the (arguable) Korean bonjwas who has won multiple starleagues. Zenio - A Code S player who lost 2 - 1 to Sen, a Taiwanese player who is a phenomenal Zerg but not as good as Nestea who has managed to compete in the GSL on several occasions. aLive - A Code A player who has the potential to hit Code S, losing 2 - 1 to Darkforce.
The rest won 2 - 0 victories.

Dynasties make sports of all kinds (including esports) more entertaining. If you want constant upsets, try starting up a coin-flipping league.

WELP. Here's hoping it's entertaining!

i think they're turning this into the superbowl, a 2 hour game surrounded by 20 hours of useless shit + 1 hour of useful shit like actually talking about the game.
12 BO3, 3 BO5, 1 BO7 taking 3 days (around 30 hours overall)

I know this is the first NASL but is there any word on if there will be another one? If so for the same prize money? I'd imagine Huk would really want to be in the next one. I'm amazed how MC can dominate the tournaments he's in. He must practice a lot and hard!
I think it's good for sc2 for the same people to win for awhile cause to me that proves the game is balance and there are just some players better than others. It's not random lots of skill and practice.

He did win just win stars war which had basically all the top top koreans and foreigners in it, so 2 wins and 3 top 3 places out of 5 tourneys is always the top of every fuckin tourney :D

As in those who ranked 1st - 10th in the regular season went straight through, the 11th - 20th place finishers going through playoffs and the top 5 going through to the main bracket, and the 16th spot going to the Open bracket winner.

The production is so embarassing. I wish they put more emphasis on the games. A B05 for the first rounds for example. Flying all the way just to lose 1 B03 when there's actually time to play more games is just horrible. And at the very least have this extra fluff at a time where no one really cares. Instead, they put the actual games at a time not conducive to Euro.
