When you get to hear him in more friendly casual situations, he's a very gentle, very humble and considerate person. Watch HSC3 vods He doesn't take himself seriously, really, it's more of a show that he likes to put, and when you get it, it's really really cute and not arrogant at all. This. This is a guy took third place after losing to Naniwa at HSC3 and said that he really wanted to win but was happy that his friend was champ. MC is pretty cool guy off-stage.

But I've never thought of him as having any charisma at all. When I think of charismatic sportspersons I think of C.Ronaldo, and even people who aren't extroverted but exude class like Federer, Schumacher and BoxeR. CR7? that guy is so boring to watch, and MC's english is probably better than that idiot who lived like 7 years in England Totally agree. How can you call a guy who throws a temper tantrum every time something doesn't go his way charismatic? Guy must be a Real Madrid fan.

Besides, it's not like people will actually make sure she's being honest about the 4.0, she's a model not a freakin accountant If the American system is the same as the British one a BSc isn't that impressive. I mean obviously its good that she's been to university and studied whatever she wanted, but its not like 'oh my God an attractive blonde with a BSc, my mind is blown!'. I'm not sure how the systems differ, but in the U.S. you can get a BS by attending extra lab courses. Either way, saying you have a "BS" is like saying you have a certification. The title means little without some clarification. In all honesty I doubt she has a BS and I also doubt she got a 4.0. She probably lied on her resume to make herself look more impressive. If she really preformed that well in college you'd think she would at least mention what her actual major was and what college she attended. http://www.lindseysporrer.com/LindseySporrer/Mission.htmlClemson. I believe the B.S. was in Business. She seems like a pretty good person. Some schools use BS, others BA for basically the same thing. Basically she has a bachelor's, did well in school at a respectable college, and enjoys helping people. As a public figure, in competitions where they perform basic background checks, why would she lie about something so easily traceable? Or, in other words, why would you doubt her word with no reason whatsover to do so? Do you suspect that she's both more intelligent and better educated than you are? Blind fanboy detected. Idra's balance whines are not 'logical and based on facts.' He's the one who suggested Infestors be able to cast fungal growth while burrowed.

Hell yeah, indeed, what an awesome guy. Great to have him in the SC2 community.
@hrough: stay up if you don't mind it. Semis with good players and Tastosis casting, should be worth it.

Being arrogant means you can back up what you say, and he backs up his predictions for wins at least half the time if not more. He has a right to be arrogant. Most people don't find humble to be too interesting, and it isn't like MC bad manners players. He just expects to win, which is a great attitude to have for a champion. You realize that MC does that for show, right? The arrogance, I mean. He's confirmed this so many times by now. Please don't just judge him on what he does to generate hype. Just ask Milkis - he met MC personally and wrote about how he's a cool guy whose supposed arrogance is pretty much an act. can you link me to that interview/statement/post/whatever it is by Milkis pls?
It's in the MLG Colombus Experience: Korean Edition blog from Milkis. I PMed you a link but I'll post the quote here for others to see.
MC knows how to please the fans very well. While he may put on a show on the stage but in reality he respects the players thoroughly and makes an effort to talk to all the foreign players. In esports and in everything there's often more than what you see and I hope everyone realizes that when they see MC crowdpleasing.

Looking forward to a july vs mc finals but at the same time i want terran to win Your mind will explode when you watch MLG or Dreamhack.
hahah i watch GSL and MLG on a regular basis (oz time ftw!) . GSL MLG DH was great but i've always considered NASL to be sort of less prestigious and more "shifty" since its a small production team and the first week of NASL WAS BAD. Really amazed at the NASL team (Day2 stream was so much better)
Of course theres still unresolved issues but nothing is perfect from the get-go. I remember Idra vs JiTaeHoon from GSL in which the observer was looking at idra's hatchery for 10+ minutes :D
Loved the "cleanness" of that 12 minute timing build from select in Game 1 , but MC really trumped that timing attack ... i mean charge and armor 2 i believe was finished moments before the fight starts and that high number of lots really weaken emp's effect and marauders dps. Day9 really made that game much more insightful and detailed than otherwise.. Also Game 2:MC's medivac snipe near the starport every 45 seconds with the 10+ phoenix? that was brilliant and really showcased his mechanics

All the hot chicks in one booth...hope they get more photos like this :D

Are there any more games today? The 2 semi finals games are still today, correct?
If so, anyone know when they start?

I agree. CR7. wtf?
And I do think MC is charismatic. Especially what he said during the award ceremony of HSC about him placing 3rd and HuK winning it. Also, the fact he does things for the fans/crowds for entertainment and to make the event and experience better. He even says he's in good terms with idra and is always the person to initiate conversation with him off camera.

I think it is awesome that he is arrogant. If he did not win, then he would not be arrogant. Saying you will win but constantly losing makes you a braggart. MC is arrogant because he wins, and it's awesome, I love it. Really though, I think MC is awesome, and I see no correlation with arrogance and bad manner, so I have no problems with it whatsoever. Wow. You're backpedaling way too much. Arrogance is bad manners. MC's "arrogance" is just an exaggeration catering to western fans. If he truly was that arrogant, he'd be hated by fellow Koreans. How is any of what I said backpedaling? I reread your 1st post and saw you weren't necessarily criticizing MC, so that's my bad. I still find "I don't find arrogant to be a negative word" to be wrong. I think arrogance is hated by a lot of people. MC may act arrogant (for show), but it's not like he bosses people around in his personal life (except Jinro) and acts like a douche.

Let's say that they would have easily more viewers who are interested in their playing, rather than in the drama aspect.
