That's exactly what the foreigners vs. Koeans discussion is about. HuK is essentially a Korean -- he lives with, plays with, and does everything with Koreans in Korea and he has done so for months now.
It should be quite obvious that Korean play is far superior to nonkorean play just by looking at the results of any LAN tournament Koreans attend. Even this Dreamhack was domianted by Koreans to the point that not a single Korean (yes, I include HuK as a Korean) lost to a nonkorean at all.
I didn't know Koreans had the monopoly in hard-work...
I'm sure it's no longer a western thing, protestant ethic finally disappeared. So you can consider that it's an asian monopoly, they've the only culture that promote so much hard-work.
You have to come here to Silicon Valley and then talk pal.. France != western world.
Since this has turned into a discussion of geography and everything not SC II related.
France is and has historically always been catholic so not exactly protestant work ethic

do you know WHY mlg installed soundproof booths? it was because of the overwhelming positive responses at dreamhack invitational when it was shown all the stuff they had, including soundproof booths

At least in France hard working is reward in studies not money. Yeah I can troll too.
Now in which western countries 5years old children work 10+ hours/day ? oh, 0.
A new survey from UBS has shown that the French continue to work the least amount of hours per year in the world. Once again, the French have blown away the competition. (source)

Hum, the amount is not bad at all, if I remember correctly french work way more than german and US (around 35h/week for the USA), but it's faaaaar from hard working. Imo the way the scholar system work is a good way to judge the amount of work require in a society, more than the average amount of hours work per year. (It's always global amount, and they're quite unstable due to all the factors which affect it)

That does not alter the point that the French still work the absolute least amount of work hours in the world.

bet you australia could give you a run for your money
also interestingly (not saying there's a correlation, actually there probably is) the source you linked says seoul has the second hardest workers in the world, after cairo (o.O)

It would have been spotted regardless. Huk sent out a probe to scout after building his first pylon every game. Just bad luck for Moon on his position. If he was lower right he possibly could have won. Or if he sent a second drone to deny the pylon... was a good idea with the first drone just 2 probes countered it.

Idd. Dreamhack summer had the same soundproof booths as was used during the Dreamhack Stockholm Invitational. So I very much doubt that Day9s enthusiasm was a tell tell sign for Huk.

I can't believe how many people in this thread are trying to claim Huk now that he's won, "Go USA!", "No, go Canada!", "Shut up, it's go Korea!" Really, all three positions can claim him since he was born in America, lived in Canada and now trains in Korea, so trying to CLAIM him exclusively is just dumb and exclusive. Why do you have to be like that? Can't all three camps just be happy that he won and not shit on anybody else? I believe the US, Canada and Korea should all be proud today.
There's really only one conclusion we can draw from Huk's DH win, and that's obviously that Europeans suck.
