Sadly it seems I have to put this up yet again. Any of the following types of posts will be met with immediate bans:

Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining/Off topic arguing.

Stick to the games and enjoy the event and its free services and coverage.

Yeah they wear headphones that produce whitenoise or they have a whitenoise machine in the booth and the players have earbuds or something like that to hear the game. Also one way mirrors are common and I am sure they were employed here.

Its actually creepy in those booths because you can only see yourself and hear nothing.

Ever wonder why so many players check there hair while in the booth?

I hope this ends the discussion between foreigners vs. Koreans. It's more between work vs. HARD work.

That's exactly what the foreigners vs. Koeans discussion is about. HuK is essentially a Korean -- he lives with, plays with, and does everything with Koreans in Korea and he has done so for months now.

It should be quite obvious that Korean play is far superior to nonkorean play just by looking at the results of any LAN tournament Koreans attend. Even this Dreamhack was domianted by Koreans to the point that not a single Korean (yes, I include HuK as a Korean) lost to a nonkorean at all.

I didn't know Koreans had the monopoly in hard-work...

I'm sure it's no longer a western thing, protestant ethic finally disappeared. So you can consider that it's an asian monopoly, they've the only culture that promote so much hard-work.

You have to come here to Silicon Valley and then talk pal.. France != western world.

At least in France hard working is reward in studies not money. Yeah I can troll too.

Now in which western countries 5years old children work 10+ hours/day ? oh, 0.

I read an article a while back:
A new survey from UBS has shown that the French continue to work the least amount of hours per year in the world. Once again, the French have blown away the competition.
(source)

quote from link : 'Winning is not about working hard. It's about working smart... and less. As the French know well.'

That does not alter the point that the French still work the absolute least amount of work hours in the world.

We work way more than a lot of western countries, USA and Germany include. Sorry to destroy your illusion.

Awesome event guys! We wants more!

But next time, when aiming for 100k people on stream, maybe you should consider later hour? 9pm CEST or something? People have jobs you know ^^?

Or just join the winning team, as the French know well too...

Or just surrender, winning doesn't matter anyway.

The point was that a poster from Peru was telling a poster from France, who claimed that Protestant work ethic had disappeared from the West (which for one does not make sense seeing as French is majority Catholic), that France does not represent the rest of the world and that his country, Peru, still works very hard. This is supported by the fact that France itself has the absolute least amount of average work hours per person per year, as in, Peru (and every other country as well) obviously has a higher average work hours.

I'm assuming you have no idea what the sound system was there, for you to make such a judgement. In other venues certainly, but Day9 should certainly have a better idea of the acoustics of the venue then anyone abroad.

The swedish TV stream is so great, thanks for whoever posted that link.

So was this broadcast on a Swedish TV channel? Or just online? Really professional looking coverage, Sweden really love their e-sports.

Its only online, SVT are 2 TV channels owned by the government and is probably the biggest TV channel in Sweden so its really cool, they had this @ Winter aswell though

Damn, state TV providing online esports coverage!!! How awesome is that... Swedish government is light years ahead...
