This is so awful. 20 minutes for Bomber vs Moon, and then at LEAST an hour before the finals. I WANT TO SLEEP, GODDAMIT.

There is no ABSOLUTE superiority, there is RELATIVE superiority. In one tournament one guy is better than the others and wins. The next tournament another guy is better at the time and wins. The next tournament someone else is better and wins.
Not because X player performed better than A in Y tournament, if on the next tournament X loses to A, X is still better overall - no, he was better than A previously, now A is better. That's all
And stop saying that a player won because the other player played bad, that's just a dumb reason imho (although there are exceptions). Usually if a player played bad is because the other player made him play bad Nope July played like total crap. Being forced to make Banelings by a Blink Stalker / Storm composition sounds like pretty crappy play to me. ahh but he didn't know about the storms mass blings mixed are almost always cost effective against non-aoe play huk and mc seem to have mastered their timing on transitions pretty well
Well that's his fault for not knowing about it. He played no-eco against a 3 base which you just don't do.
Banelings off-creep into blink stalkers. Slow Hydras against Blink stalkers.
Also the choice of spire is very bad, he should know that HuK is with MC the best vSpire player. Watch his stream and replays, he defends that stuff insanely well.

If you want to give players a sign, the only thing that matters regarding Starcraft 2 is where the players train. Do they train in Korea, then they should be considered as "players with korean playstyle". Do they train in europe? Then of course "players with european playstyle".
Race and origin doesn't matter a single fuck in all this. There is no starcraft gene, at least none that I know of. So we can only safely talk about their training environment and take it from there.

Also, Dark Templars are from North Korea.
It was nice to hear MC calling from DH to GSL group selection, and sounding in good shape.

I don't think people understand the debate. It isn't about 'People born in Korea vs. People born not in Korea.' It's about the infrastructure and how someone can become a great player if they stick at it in the environment. Jinro reached great heights, won a MLG, got to the GSL semifinals twice after a lot of people had no real high hopes for him when he went to Korea. When most of TL left, Huk stayed and just continued working hard at it.
That's the main thing I'm very proud of Huk for. He didn't leave or go back to the States because he could make easier cash. He wasn't doing the best in the GSL tournaments, but he was getting better. Now at Dreamhack, where he doesn't have to play against top class player after top class player, he can really show all the hard work he's put into his play.
He really deserves this final and the money that he earned.

Suddendly people think the nation where you play has to determine your nationality. It isn't like this in ANY sport, so please stfu. If people move to a nation with better infrastructures for training they don't change nationality. Messi and Ronaldo isn't spanish , they play in spanish teams. Same goes for Huk, he isn't Korean for the mother of god, he play in a korean team.
I couldn't care less about who win but the fanboysm in this thread is making me puke. Yeah and it isn't about nationality but practice environment / scene. People like iNcontroL and IdrA have been spouting nonsense like "Korea isn't the place to be" Bullshit.Yeah if you wanna feast on the scraps and be a B-class player, stay in the US or wherever, but if you wanna take the big tournies and be the best player you can be there is absolutely no alternative to going to Korea. Couldn't have put it better my friend. If us non-koreans ever establish anything close to the training/tournament system they have set-up. I might start taking iNcontrols, IdrA, demuslim etc comments seriously. This is just silly, InControl and the whole EG team have said that they really want to ramp up their practice schedule and will be creating their own team house to achieve a Korean-like regiment for the next MLG. Clearly they think that style of practicing has value. HOWEVER, what InControl and Idra were actually saying is that the TOURNAMENT scene of Korea isn't worth it because of the lack of tournaments and time commitment per payoff. The west has tons of cash up and way better opportunity for the team to do well and attract attention to them and their sponsors. Try to not misquote people when you have your axe to grind. Well, that's actually bullshit as well. If you look at the Korean vs Foreigner winnings statistics, Koreans have won far far more. And also it isn't just about playing the game and winning as much as possible as soon as possible. None of the US players are at the peak of their skill, they should go to Korea and get good. Once they feel that a skill plateau is incoming they can go to the West to take down the lesser tournies (which also pay out way less)
Because it's that easy. Goodbye family and friends, whole lifestyle, bills, commitments/dependents, culture, girlfriend if i have one, country i love... etc etc... I'm just gonna drop everything and move over to a country where i don't speak a word of the spoken language and try and compete for 1 tournament. It will for a long time probably cost me more money than i make but what the hell, there's a chance i might be better for it so it's worth the risk.

If you want to beat the best, train with the best. It's prohibitive and a big life-style decision, but if you're passionate about making it as a pro in this sport, this is what you have to do. Go HUK!
I'm expecting big things from Naniwa and Thorzain in the future as well.
More people should be seriously considering that 1 month trip to Korea. Join a team house after that to keep your costs down. The money isn't as big an issue as stuff like culture and the language barrier, but you know what? Foreign imports to U.S. soccer, baseball, basketball, etc. had to deal with the same shit. The SC2 mecca is in Korea, not here. Deal.

He represented Team USA against Team Korea back in GSL world championship. You mean Team World. Clearly you didn't watch the tournament No but I also see that no foreigner in that tournament was actually American. Coach Artosis Liquipedia doesn't show coaches

Most of the time when someone looks like they are playing terrible it is because someone is making them look terrible. So many GSL games look laughable, but bring the same players overseas and they will win ez. You can't just look at the mistakes one player makes and say "lol threw the game away". July would've rolled anyone but Huk in that series.

I couldn't care less about who win but the fanboysm in this thread is making me puke. Messi plays a Spanish style of football though, even Argentinians say that while Messi is an Argentine national he is a product of Spanish football. Just like Huk is a Canandian but is a product of Korean Starcraft. wtf are you talking about Messi is a product of the argentinians football school. You have no idea wtf you talking about Brazil and Argentina got some of the best football schools in the world. Jesus crist some of you people just plain silly barca signed messi when he was 13. So you got no idea how the argentina schools work. The best players from age 5-6 get recruited into those schools. Messi was allrdy a wunderkid when he was 13 just like Maradona was when he was 10. just like Ronaldo was when he was 15 and moved to Amsterdam Plz stop talking about football stick to sc2 yes, those 6 early years obviously has meant a lot more for him than the 11 he have had in spain. lol. I'd say Messi owes a very great deal to Barça's effective base training, people that think its all talent are very dellusional since Messi never had nearly the amount of dribbling skills as e.g ronaldinho/ronaldo.

Do you see the sprints nad rythm changes where he breaks the defence? It's a product from La Masia. yep, seems that drugs are better in Spain than in other countries nowadays (joking aside, it's a real problem in spanish sport, with a bigger extend than most of the other countries) So you believe Barcelona are doped? Not disagreeing with you, but I think they just pay refs IMO XD
Professionnal soccer is quite silly imo, there is like no control and so much money... Maybe we're going to see a lot of prematurate death in 20years ;D (surely)

HE IS korean in terms of sc2. No shit hes not korean. But he is considered a korean player, much like how select is known as one of the top NA terrans, yet he is korean.

Someday...Bomber might be allowed to kiss the feet of Flash in terms of accomplishments. Bomber had 1 good run so far in Code A..so did Losira and everyone thought he was unbeatable..but guess what..Losira didnt win anything after Code A yet. Not saying Bomber isnt good...but ppl dont seem to be scared of MC anymore(since alot of ppl base his skill of that match)..half the ppl in the selection for GSL wanted to pick MC for their group.
