Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of:

Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining

Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it.

So can anyone explain to me what the thought process behind having the finals on a workday monday was?

Best foreign protoss - for sure. Best P in the WORLD? Dont think so....

I did say foreign though. Haven't watched THAT much korean protoss but to me only Alicia and MC are clearly better.

So Europeans are proud of their Protoss
Koreans are proud of their Zergs and Terrans
What about North America? Proud of Idra?

No there was actually a very big chance of mirrors because there were 5 #1 and 3 #2

Probabilistically

5 choose 0 * 3 choose 3 / (8 choose 3) =

1 / (8 choose 3)

3!*5!/8!

= 1 / 56

< 2% of no mirrors in Round 1.

Except there were 6 and 2, F and H would have had to hit each other (which they did). Given non-replace draw the probability is all kinds of fucked (or I'm just rusty at prob/stat).

I redid and edited - if it's 6 and 2 the probability is 1/28, which is still lower than 4% and tiny. Not saying it's rigged, just highly unlikely (and tbh I'm thankful because Protoss mirrors are the most boring thing ever, other than Terran tank wars)

EDIT: I may have made a mistake, could be 6 #1 and 2 #2 protoss. Then the probability is 1/28... it's still very rare though that you wouldn't have any mirrors.

Yeah, this was the only possible draw with no mirrors
It's actually 1/7 though

Socke vs. Ret or Moon vs. WhiteRa, can't chose which to watch.... Let's see what streams they end up on, I guess, and the favourite in broadcasting will decide.

Naniwa - Brat_OK is the you shall watch

Not as emotionally invested in that matchup compared to the other two. Will watch the rest when there's VOD's.

You said favourite in broadcasting. Since Day9 is casting Naniwa vs Brat_OK, it seems obvious.

That may be, discounting the most important variable. If any of the two sets I mentioned would've been broadcast by Day9 and Apollo, I would've picked that stream.

oh, that's irrelevant now, you're watching whatever Day9 tells you to watch.

don't worry, it's a good life.

How can idra MC be rival? What a joke. MC's won over $200K Idra $12K.

the fact that MC's achievements are far superior to Idra's ones is true but idra has proven to be able to take down MC in a tuornament the only one of the foreigners to achieve this so far , so people are hoping for some awesome games, like in Huk vs Moon , but better

Take down? Not really. MC has eliminated idra from 2 tourneys, idra none, I wouldn't say beating him in the group stages is taking him down in a tournament.

Looked wierd when Apollo helt the third to last paper under the table.

Why the hell would they want PvPs from ro8 all the way to the finals? I'm pretty sure it's random unless u have proof

There always have to be at least one guy who calls rigged. Even if it happens in front of his eyes.

THEY MUST HAVE BEEN PLANNING IT FOR YEARS

Well Federer and Roddick had a 'rivalry' even though it's incredibly one sided and Federer has much more winnings than Roddick.

You don't need winnings to have a rivalry.
