Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of:
Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining
Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it. |

Looked wierd when Apollo helt the third to last paper under the table.
There always have to be at least one guy who calls rigged. Even if it happens in front of his eyes.

Are you trying to make yourself look stupid?

They wouldn't rig it, at least not in a way like that, do you have any idea how it would have turned out if he accidentally picked the wrong paper?

Well considering the players with the highest win ratio is all none koreans you argument preatty dumb

The probability of having no mirrors with 8 protoss was kinda small ! there was actually a very small chance of mirrors because all but 2 toss were #1 No there was actually a very big chance of mirrors because there were 5 #1 and 3 #2 Probabilistically 5 choose 0 * 3 choose 3 / (8 choose 3) = 1 / (8 choose 3) 3!*5!/8! = 1 / 56 < 2% of no mirrors in Round 1.
Except there were 6 and 2, F and H would have had to hit each other (which they did). Given non-replace draw the probability is all kinds of fucked (or I'm just rusty at prob/stat).

Naniwa - Brat_OK is the you shall watch Not as emotionally invested in that matchup compared to the other two. Will watch the rest when there's VOD's. You said favourite in broadcasting. Since Day9 is casting Naniwa vs Brat_OK, it seems obvious.
That may be, discounting the most important variable. If any of the two sets I mentioned would've been broadcast by Day9 and Apollo, I would've picked that stream.

Probably because Idra is very bad mannered and in korean culture it's very important to be good mannered. MC is actually friends with Idra. In recent interviews they say they just 'play it up'. I think you're over generalising it, where does MC say he's friends with idra? I heard koreans dislike him because he's bm on korean ladder
MC had the Korean translator post in his TL fanclub that MC and IdrA are decent friends outside of the game and sometimes talk. I think the Koreans didn't care too much and were just starting up rivalries, Clide and Zenio both apologized when IdrA left asking if it was because of their BM.

Do we know which games will be on which stream yet?

is there a mirror for the results page? I'm not whining but stating that own3d.tv (Khaldor), Justin.tv (others) and the results page on binarybeast.com are all down so i can watch nothing and would like to avoid scanning 420 pages of this thread for every result. tl wiki will also not load.
also on which stream is socke streamed?

Also, IdrA's road should be MC -> Bomber -> Naniwa/White-ra To get to the finals, talk about a though bracket!

I would be pretty pumped for a Naniwa vs Bomber finals. I don't consider that lame at all. Of course it might be a little anti-climactic if it is Naniwa vs MC or something. But not really lame.

Guys, the math is not that hard. Of the 8 groups, 6 had P winning and T or Z coming in second. 2 had T or Z coming in first and P coming in second.
The only way for there to be no PvP in the first round is to have the two groups with P coming in second place get drawn together.
Since each group has an equal probability of being paired with any other group, there was a 1/7 chance that there would be no PvP mirror matches in the round of 16.
