It's actually not per month, the final will take place after 11 weeks. So one season lasts about 3 months.
Still looking forward to today's cup, 150 Euros are not bad at all and as I'll be casting the event I hope we'll have a lot of people participating!

Looking forward to this cup! The tournament system and the mappool is very good. The prize money should attract some pretty good players =), I guess. Khaldor will cast some amazing games hopefully!

Hm I can see Darkforce, Dimaga, Deathangel, Delphi, Lowely, Happy and Beastyqt so far. This definitely needs more Protoss^^

Ciara threw game 3 away. Very bad micro in final fight, run his hydras up against the FF wall and sit there lose entire army to colossus fire then all corruptors are focusing pheonix in the final fight instead of Colossi. Another Zerg falls

That DT into Archon/Zealot is looking pretty damn sexy, especially since you can switch into mass Blink Stalkers as a follow-up if your opponent gets enough Roaches out in time (and with DTs and no mobile detection you should be able to protect your expansion if your initial attack gets destroyed).
That's just how it plays out in my mind though, need to test this for myself but I'm really liking this play!

ICCup Testbug, nice 3 player map.
But THEN we have:

4 enourmous player maps. What's the point on addinc Crevasse and Terminus Re?
Second, only 1 2 players map. Xel'Naga Caverns.
This is going to be a pretty boring cup to watch with this maps. Yea there will be exceptions... but where is the fun in maps?

Do you have other choices? Also you have not only to find fun maps, but maps which are balanced, and i can say that the first gigabyte cup was very funny and at no time boring

There are plenty of choices ... and overal i think the maps are not ballanced, because of the chosen maps and not by individual maps.

Tarson forgot to cloak his ghosts and lost them all. Obviously a fungal would've revealed them aswell but atleast he would've had more time to snipe the broods.

Really curious to see if temper issues will be a problem for Nerchio in offline events. He qualified for the IEM Gamescom yesterday if I'm not mistaken, and every single time he's playing an online tournament, he's either lacking manners or even insulting opponents.
He seemed to be quite tame today, sure, but that habit of leaving a game without gg is just the tip of the iceberg.
Anyway, nice comeback by Goody (and really sloppy play there in g4 by Nerchio). I think that ridiculous bunker rush caught him off guard and he hasn't quite settled back in yet.
Rooting for Goody to take this, because he's actually playing watchable games right now.

LaLush is yet another example of how little manner you actually need when you have enough skill to compete (though "skill" is debatable after that performance). There's drama that adds entertainment, and then there's childish BM. Constantly amazes me that he and other players of his calibre still get recognition and tournament coverage.

well I tried to cast this cup like 5 weeks in a row.
Week1: (no english cast) "Sry. RageQuit.TV got it covered, only 1 stream for each language"
Week2: (no english cast) "Its still RageQuit.TV - they didnt cast for the last 2 weeks because of other events like Dreamhack etc."
Week3: (no english cast) "We will talk about it and get back to you"
Week4 (GLHF was casting) I didnt ask
Week5 (no english cast) I was asking ingame, via IRC, may be I should have tried email and the ticket support system. Or they are pretty happy with the languages they already got.
May be i should just give up and focus on other and my own events, or I will try it again hehe, since the tournament is organzied by people who actually know what they doing in terms of administrating a tournament etc..

yep, pretty ok tournamnet.
2 things are missing though.
1-> is english cast... a lot of time we have 4 other languages but english.
2-> protoss players.. only terran and zerg pros are playing in this event... with the exception of few.. (mana and elfi sometimes)

When there was no english stream they had to cancel it on short notice. RageQuit is not covering any EU tournaments for now but drooL casted alone.

Mech style is good, boring but good. Does that makes the player good ? >> Good at using it certainly and at annoying people like Lalush (Goody was bad mannered in the last confrontation too) Spamming weekly cups isn't an achievement.
PS : I used to say that about Nerchio too and guess what, that kid proved us that he was good enough to have a major result (IPL 2 final) and he showed a lot more than just 2 units ...
