GIGABYTE Cup Season 1 Final with 750 prize money

For eleven weeks everybody had the chance to participate in the weekly GIGABYTE StarCraft II Cup. In order to determinate the best 16 StarCraft II players for the GIGABYTE Cup Season Final, ranking points were given away to the contestants that managed to reach the final rounds of each tournament. On Monday August, 29th starting at 18:00 CEST they will face off in the final showdown and will compete for a total prizemoney pool of 750 Euro and additional hardware prizes sponsored by GIGABYTE.

1st place: 500 Euro + GIGABYTE GTX 560 Ti Over Clock Edition (GV-N560OC-1 Gl)
2nd place: 250 Euro + GIGABYTE GTX 560 Over Clock Edition (GV-N56GOC-1Gl)
3rd place: Aivia K8100 Macro Gaming Keyboard and Aivia M8600 Gaming Mouse

Participants

The whole tournament will be played single elimination in “Best-of-three” (Bo3) mode until the final. The final will be played "Best-of-Five" (Bo5). Both semifinals, 3rd place decider match and final will be played successively.

Hm I'm curious how Stephano will perform in the tournament. He has a lot of potential and I'd love him to show how good he actually is. Should be a lot of interesting games. hf everyone!

Amazing lineup. Looking forward for the cup.
As a GoOdy fan hoping he´s advancing to the final and perhaps once again against lalush. Will be very entertaining.
But with all the good player and Mana on fire lately I think Mana or Stephano will advance from the bottom side of bracket to the final.
Can´t wait for it just a bit over one hour!

The tournament grid is now published on the GIGABYTE Cup website. There might be some changes or defwins in case players are not showing up in time.

For example (Z)

Nerchio was already replace by (T)

Satiini. Also (P)

HasuObs probably won't attend due to holidays. (T)

DeMusliM is a potential successor for his slot but might be also unavailable due to his journey back from MLG Raleigh.

He is on vacation. Same as HasuObs. Also elfi didn't show up although I talked to him yesterday. So we had two defwins in round 1 for Delphi and Stephano.
