We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum.
Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service.
Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST

No, wrong. Most western viewers like to watch the best players play. Just because you don't care or haven't heard of the best players in the world doesn't mean the rest of us haven't. But yes I agree MLG is for foreigners Koreans should join the open bracket like everybody else.
If you dumped 4 top koreans in the open bracket there would be no foreigners getting through, is that what you want?

Will we see the same thing happen at Dreamhack in two weeks? I think so.
Would have LOVED to have a SotG on this where the pros themselves can speak on the matter.
What?
MC is undoubtedly the best Protoss in the world. Losira is a top 5 Zerg and MMA is a rising Terran star.
Also, we have pretty much the best foreigners at this MLG. I can't think of any that were sorely missed.

White-Ra
Dimaga, Strelok, Kas, Nerchio, Jinro, Huk, etc. Plenty of guys who can put up a stiff challenge, provided that they don't melt under pressure (Kas). I'm looking forward to Dreamhack, since most of the top Euros are there.

MMA doesnt get Code S slot... Oh well. I really hope he can get into Code S
The skill MMA has shown consistently for some time now really is Code S class, I'm sure he'll be up there in no time. Btw, why do you write in bold? ^_^
Problem with most foreigners (not everyone...nani or morrow are practicing 12/24/7 for instance) is that they want to be progamer like it's a hobby. Any job include working at least 7 hours a day, progaming is no different. And progaming is like any other sport, the winner is usually the one who trains the most. But most foreigners don't have this mentality, they just want to be famous in the "esport world", and capitalize on this to make money by coaching and streaming. And if something must "destroy esports in the west" it will be this mindset, not the Koreans.
What I think "the foreignes" are thinking right now:
It's SC2, we can prove that everybody can be good, not just the koreans.
IEM, Moon: "Koreans own white dudes".
MLG Columbus: It's time to show the Koreans they are wrong... 1st game of MLG. IdrA CRUSHED MC 2-0. Everyone cheered so hard. Semi-finals MC 4-0 IdrA (Idra was like I'm doomed, miracle wont happen again). The other 2 slots are also Korean. The end: 3 top slots 3 Koreans. Oh no Koreans own at SC2 too?
It's Waking Nightmare!
Remember that thread from intrigue that pissed everyone off?

If Thorzain or Idra were this far I must agree, it would be much more entertaining as the Foreign scene has really taken to these two players. They seem to have touched a nerve. Naniwa, not so much, although he might be the best of the three.
Nationalism can breed racism... If your opponents in soccer or whatever all acted like you when they just got dominated then what would you think of them? You would probably start riding them for that?
No you are just sad and turn off the TV. For example I am a huge Ravens fan (NFL american football team) and they lost this year. My reaction to them losing was that I was less interested in the Super Bowl (championship game) because "my team" was not in it. People rooted for the foreigners because they were there guys so without them its like there favorite team is out and they are sad now.

It is racist because Thorzain and Naniwa and IdrA are from completely different places. Two are European (both Swedish I think?) and IdrA is American. At least one of them is not from your continent. So it is white guys versus Koreans, which is literally racist to prefer your own skin color over another.
Were you into BW? If so you'd certainly understand. Then it felt like Korea vs the World. We rooted for china too (but too a lesser extend because their proscene was relatively robust. Though nothing compared to Korea). Much of this mindset has carried over.

Turn that frown upside down son! High level play = awesome games period
