Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402) |

This. Lol,couldn't they come up with a more standard format? About yesterdays games,a good fella uploaded some reps,it's your best chance to see some games, since the vods are not up yet(not all of em at least). The post is on the previous page.
Replays won't cut it for me, I need me some tastosis, they have all the replays in the mlg page if you want them go to http://s3.majorleaguegaming.com/2011-columbus-starcraft2-champ.html
I'm just looking for VODs though :p

He lost 2-0 to SixjaxViBE in the first round of the Championship Bracket's Loser's Bracket (that's a mouthful lol).
The reason you won't find him in the Loser's Open Bracket is because he never went there, FnaticFenix beat him 2-1 to get into Championship Pool A and Morrow went straight to the game above against ViBE.

Perhaps someday MLG will get individual games into their searchable index during the competitions, but for now they seem to do it several days after the contest. Here are some of the individual games on youtube...

i wouldn'T even mind the raw stream, but at the moment the streams are NOT fast forwardable and you would have to rewatch everything.... On what stream did mc vs. thorzain get broadcast? because i won't be able to ff i'd really like to start with the right strteam :D

Updated the replay pack found here with round 1 of the Championship Loser's Bracket (the majority of it it anyway )

Is it just me or is MLG a total failure? I have been surfing their website for 2 hours now running in circles, going nowhere.
1. Those red and blue 'live' streams always show the same video without a fast forward option, wtf? 2. Where can i find previous streams? 3. Do I have to pay to see? If so, where do i pay?
Come on! This is by far the worst website I have ever encountered. So much totally useless information, but never what you are looking for!
|
I would also appreciate a list of games that were streamed. I had to stop watching yesterday after Sheth vs. MMA. I know they had July vs. Sjow planned after that, but which group matches were broadcasted after that?
|
Those signs are so awesome.

@Parnass : I don't think all of the streamed content is currently available from the stream clip selector. It's only certain fragments. We'll just have to cross our fingers that their either add the other streams to the selector, or that the per-game clips show up on MLG soon.
@Hetz : it's not very intuitive, but if you mess with the controls in the bottom of the stream, the three horizontal lines brings up a menu of available stream clips you can switch to. This at least offers a little more control. It would be better if they put up searchable per-game clips the day of the games. For now we need to use youtube and the games which fans have uploaded.

Would somebody be so extremely kind to explain these brackets to me? Some people are saying July will face Thorzain for example. How can I tell? I dont understand the black and red lines going up. Then there is the red line before the grand final which is just freaking me out honestly.
Please help!

The winners bracket (Naniwa/Losira, MMA/Idra) is pretty standard I guess, but we'll get to that later.
At the bottom, basically the winners of the matches will progress to take on the next player there. So the winner of Gretorp/Cruncher (actually Cruncher already won, the image is a bit outdated) will play Kiwikaki. Then the winner of Kiwikaki/Cruncher will play Fenix and so on until the last match there - Slush vs Sheth/previous winner. The winner of that will advance and play the winner of Haypro vs Ret/previous winner.
After that the person who advances, will play the loser of Losira/Naniwa (note the red line). The same process happens for the lower two brackets and the two winners will play and the loser will be 4th place.
The winner advances to play the loser of the Winners Bracket finals and the winner of that game plays the winner of the WB finals in the GRAND finals.
Seems quite simple to me. Hope that that explanation helps though.
EDIT: To answer your question about Thorzain/July, if Thorzain beats Incontrol/Select(who won against qxc) he plays Machine and if he wins he plays MC (in an extended series though). If he wins he would play July (assuming July won his match).

Black lines for the winners. So Thorzain will play the winner of Incontrol/Select and if he wins, he'll play against Machine.
