Very interesting, will most likely attend
Not sure how 64 people are intended to fit but we'll see ^^
Awesome!! Will certainly go and try to get some friends as well :D
Ooh, interesting! I might sign up, but I don't have cash ):
Right in my own backyard, I'll definitely be attending =)
This should be fun. I'll be there.
I didn't tell Attero about this tourney this time, promise (he found it on his own~)
only a week to go before sign-up deadline is up!
Getting a lot of Quebec representation but where are all the Ontario and US competitors?
we're talking $500 cash for prize people folks!
I'll see if I can stop by and say hello to everyone ;D
I'll definitely be attending! :D
ONLY 6 DAYS LEFT TO SIGNUP! SPOTS STILL OPEN TO WIN YOUR CHANCE @ OVER $500 IN PRIZE POOL VALUE/MONEY
This certainly hasn't been getting enough love, 400$ for first is definitely nothing to sneer at. Don't really see why anyone in Montreal wouldn't go. I'll be there!
The tournament isn't full yet !!
Also we might be looking to join both tournaments together and make a BIG one with a gigantic price pool. Definitely worth the 15$.
Come eat some pizzas with us and meet the awesome Starcraft 2 community in Quebec !!
why is it best of 1 until quarters... thats kind of silly. I doubt there will be 64 ppl so it shouldnt be a time constraint if you are starting at 10am
Agreed. No round should be best of 1. This should be changed to Best of 3 until further rounds to let player's skill shine through!
I don't know if anyone is down for this but here I go: We could meet up at N'Fusion friday night to watch the GSL ST finals and pull an all nighter to play this tourney afterwards. I know I'd do that if I'm not there alone like most time we organize a GSL finals meet-up...
i ll probably be there 100th post on TL ya !! xD
Bo1 should indeed be eliminated as I got the confirmation that we won't be 64 for sure. Don't have the final numbers though but it's less that expected. Of course this is the first edition. Let's make this one a success to rally more people next time !!
Thanks to everyone of you who signed up, looking forward to seeing you this saturday :D
If I'm not mistaken, I think there are going to be 2 Grandmasters playing, very interesting games to come even if there won't be a gigantic number of players.
I'll give you guys an update for the stream when I have the final confirmation on the adress and all that.

See you guys on Saturday!
Not sure i'll be there to admin it tough. I got something at the last minute. Btw, i suppose the lower player pool will have an impact on overall prize pool?
UPDATED PLAYERS ADDED:
Gyro SliveredSkin
I think as the tournament will end up being a regular double elimination, the 2 price pools might be put together.
We'll figure something out I guess.
Hope to see you there Monx !
I'm pretty sure we can end up being at least 20. We're 15 now? 16 + 4 bypass for the higher seeds would be nice enough. Come on guys, 5 more !
With Fortyjordy, we have an even 16 players. Lookin good!
finally i wont be able to make it T_T. i am starting a new job and they want me to do a training on saturday Too bad. Please take pictures Kadium GL all.

This has been by far the best LAN experience I have had to date for SC2 aside from MLG Dallas 2010 (although this was extremely close - hard to compete with all the partying that went on there). The host of the tournament was beyond any expectations one can have when going to a random LAN. I was extremely impressed how well he interacted with everyone and actually took good care of my gf! I want to sincerely thank Money Alam for this tournament and hoping for many more to come. It was nice meeting everyone and MrxYz vs xNJakeBake has to be one of the most impressive TvZs I have ever seen. First Bo5 it went 3-2, and then extended series it went to the last game. Cheers guys!

SC2 Open Grand Final xnJakeBake vs TDAttero: Attero WINS!
Valiant effort by xnJakeBake after being eliminated in the quarter finals and getting a second chance after beating MrXyZ (3rd place finish); wins 2nd place after losing 6-1 in double elimination!
Thanks to all the players for participating; all the fans who watched the live feed and espially to Kadium and Zombie Hunter with special guest help from SliveredSkin for casting all these great matches.
Props Kadium; wouldnt have been possible without you!
Correction Illistar, he lost 6-1
Props to all the casters as well.
i'm soooo tired... and thats no the only typo i made although thank you for not pointing it out!
Hope everyone had an amazing time, I know I slept for about 12 hours once I got home; I'm looking forward to input from all the players and participants on how we can improve for the next time around,
check out the photos and videos on our Facebook page.

<3 that typo. TDAttero is our winner, not Artosis ^^
Yes indeed, Mr. Ilistar here did a wonderful job in making everyone as comfortable as possible, kept all of us happy and fed (OMG those pizzas were delicious :D)
I was actually surprised at how everyone sticked together, before and after their games, discussing strategies, joking around, sharing thoughts, exchanging character codes...Grandmasters, Masters, Diamonds...didn't really matter yesterday, as you could tell everyone was there to have fun just by looking at the crowd.
Even some of the guys who got eliminated in the first few rounds stayed until the very end, that can just tell how interesting the tournament and the ambiance were.
It was actually my first time acting as any kind of "tournament manager/co-manager" and I enjoyed every part of it, from the managing to the casting afterwards (1st time streaming in english as well, haha !) and I hope i'm gonna be able to keep doing that stuff because it's just awesome.
On behalf of all the guys from the community @ sc2qc.com that might not have a TL account,
THANK YOU !!!
And again Attero, my apologies for the delays between your games at the end...the 2 last matches were such long and intense series, I didn't have any control over that. But maybe I should've thought of asking you and JakeBake to show up a little later, am I right?. I'm learning, I guess. Hope to see you again soon !
No apologies necessary. You guys did a great job!
