Do you guys have no common sense? Don't post results for matches that haven't happened yet, even under spoiler tags.

Are you done? Seriously dude, I do not get why you are saying anything. You are trying to bash idra constantly for something that doesn't even involve you. You are just as bad as the freaking idra slaves right now.

Not done. IdrA treats all his opponents like shit. He should learn to respect people for playing better than him. IdrA is amazing, probably the best player outside of korea. One of the best in the world, but he's a crybaby, and makes himself look so immature.

People who condone the behavior he demonstrates kinda makes people think its ok, but it isn't.

Everyone condones it in someway, it seems. They tune in to watch it, they keep inviting him to tournaments, EG and others cheerfully benefit from his notoriety.

He wouldn't do it, if he couldn't benefit it from. Which is the bigger problem than a whiner and quitter who can't seem to handle the fact that working hard at BW, but not at SC2, doesn't give him an innate right to being a great SC2 player. The lack of respect for the hard work of people like dde, kiwi and other top foreign players is disgusting.

He's always respected kiwi actually.

Pretty sure I heard him say himself or some other zerg was 3x better than kiwi when he was commentating NASL.

Anyone verify?

The main problem is, he read Idra's build perfectly because in the interview he said Idra is a person who likes to mass mutas+few banelings+lings.

Against zerg who goes less mutas and more focused on banelings. This start would not work as when banelings get into a high numbers micro alone won't do the trick since you really need to get to that 6-8 tank count and Thor slows down your tank production too much nd lets zerg take too many bases. DDE just countered Idra's style and won that.

I hear saying one player is better than another player is being disrespectful to the other player. Couldn't be a legitimate point, no way.

Idra was very respectful of KiWi around the time of MLG DC, but his respect seems to have fallen off a bit since then.

Yes, bro, it is.

IdrA wins 90% of his TvZ due to mutalisk harass.

Idra never respected Kiwi or ant other root member, he just said that he was afraid of Kiwi because he is protoss.
Only player Idra respects is Ret, he even looks at Ret as his equal.

Nope, the actual reason is even more illogical than that

Part of the reason is that we had a 1,024 man open amateur tournament and we wanted consistency. MLG has published several versions of their own Metalopolis. Also, I would wager that the majority of our amateurs had never played on the MLG versions anyway.

I made some angry posts in the Sponsored version of the thread about it before the tournament started but to no avail. To be frank it's almost actually depressing to see games which validate my argument. Hopefully Complexity will actually review their rules / map pool with a more discerning eye next time.

Nonetheless Congratulations DDE!

Thank you very much to everyone who watched the event over the past month. Sorry for some hiccups, we did our best.

Special thanks to the casters AskJoshy, JP McDaniel & DJWheat. Also a shoutout to CEVO for administering the event.

Of course, huge thanks to SoundBlaster, Fry's Electronics, PNY, Origin and QPad USA.

Props to all the amateurs who battled in the 1024 man open. You're the backbone of gaming.

Thanks again!

Wrong. He did say he was afraid of Kiwi before because he was a protoss, but he has also stated before that he respected Kiwi. Not as much recently though, apparently.

Was for other reasons.

1. Playing koreans
2. "Offline" tournament

Koreans play "abusively" and cheese play too

It would be weird someone not 'gg'ing in Korea when the Korean casters love shouting the GG part at the end.

I think he spoke in favour of the whole root team in ITG on the last episode. Or maybe it was during the EGMC

As far as IdrA's respect goes...(and it doesn't really matter lol)

It was on State of the Game where IdrA said that he is 3x better than KiWi after the IPL finals. I think he respects players in general who are legitimately good, I know for a fact he sees Sen highly. Perhaps similar with Ret, they had a big rivalry back in the BW days though.

IdrA respects players who were amongst the best at BW, every players that are not he sees them as having terrible mechanics and only knowing 1 or 2 base all ins or abusing their race to win against zerg.

It's sad, but Incontrol said lately, it starts with im 3 times better than him, it goes sometimes he cheeses and wins and then when he doesnt talk about them anymore it means he respects their skills. And he said that's why he doesn't about about kiwi anymore.

Seriously it's tough to say Kiwi sucks. He's really not an all inner, he has solid macro, his late game is scary, he knows how to apply pressure, his micro might be the best or close to outside of korea.

That said IdrA will have to accept that some players are really working hard on getting better at Sc2 that weren't necesserly great BW players or even any good at the game. He might have practiced 10 hours a day for three years playing BW, but SC2 is a new game and other people have improved their mechanics to a point where they are really good at it too and hav crazy good understanding of the game too.

dde played well, I hope IdrA on sotg doesn't make excuses because aside from the metalopolis game (2 rax is retardedly easy to execute and a lot harder to hold, especially on close positions) dde just outplayed him.

Dunno how can you say that.
I don't know... but when i see the way ppl are beating players like Idra/Ret/Nestea,,,it basiclly HAS to be something .... can't say OP straight away, but unorthodox/abusive.
Dunno what could he have done in a game on shakuras...unless he didn't go mutas in the first place, how can you stop sieged tanks (on clifs), protected by marines/thors/turrets/bunkers...Map, not DDE.
3ed game : He had no way of knowing what was going on. And when the timing push came, its a gg. Broken scouting in the game.
Don't feel the need to commentate on metal game....
Only game i would feel DDE (and not map) won is maybe last game on Xel'naga.

We all saw what happens on Tal'darim in a straight up game(which also can be abused by Terran and cliffs easily).

That being said, gz DDE.
