We asked DarkForcE to wait until after the next match in hopes that lag would clear up and then finish the series -- he said no.

Unfortunately for Ensnare we continued to play. I feel bad for him but nothing we can do there.

kk, lag sucks, but thanks for explanation. gj darkforce!

really? that's such a dick move from darkforce, i guess he thought he couldn't win other wise?

Come on man. Maybe Darkforce was busy? These guys are pros, they can't be expected to rearrange their full schedules to HELP THEIR OPPONENT.

You know if it was 1-1, and you had an advantage you'd do it too.

No, I really wouldn't.

You say he may of had something to do, but it's very possible he was just being a dick and taking an unfair advantage. Both are possible, and it's not really warranted talking about either way.

I feel like a gentlemen would have offered a time when he was next available to play. But w/e. Kinda dissapointing, because ensnare was definetely the better player there

Fully agree. A gentleman would suggest a time that is convenient for both players. Don't pretend everybody has all 24 hours of each day filled with commitments. I know plenty of surgeons wit hfar busier schedules that can still find time to make 30 minute lunch meetings etc.

Darkforce and Ensnare were both 3-3. It was a must win for either of them to make the tournament at the end.

Yes, it would have been sportsmanlike and more gentleman-like for Darkforce to wait it out. However, you could make the argument that all is fair and love in war, if you would and Darkforce was just doing what he needed to win. We don't know the circumstances, and it should frankly just not be talked about.

It's stupid both ways when people say HES SUCH A DICK or YOU DONT KNOW HIM SHUT UP IM GOING TO SUCK DARKFORCES DICK SO HARD BECAUSE HE HAS SUCH A BUSY SCHEDULE

He won. That's all that matters. Saying someone was lagging hard and someone is mean is not going to change that.

That makes it a shady win in my eyes. It's one thing if Ensnare was stubborn and pretended like lag wasn't affecting anything, but Darkforce was given the option of (possibly) making it an even playing field.

Shady win? What if Darkforce had other commitments already for the next day?

What if he *shockingly* rescheduled for another time? Or is he magically busy the entire week?

It doesn't make Darkforce a bad guy. But it certainly puts into question what the results mean. And again, he was given the option and refused.

We only know the facts as Xeris described them, and he only mentioned the possibility of rescheduling for the following day.

Anything else is just speculation.

I don't know about that, this is a competition after all. If the situations were reversed I think Ensnare would have done the same as what Darkforce did.

....he's lagging like fuck

lag doesn't affect macro. I guess it could put you on tilt and that would affect macro, but the lag itself does not.

given the game he just played in GSL, I would not assume that his macro is actually good in normal conditions

Uhmmm yes it does. Have you ever played with lag?

I live in South Africa. I always play with lag.

So if scv doesn't build until 5 seconds after you hit s and workers don't start building supply depots until 5 seconds after you tell them to your macro will still be fine?

You could never maintain a connection at 5 seconds latency. Don't make shit up.

Horse shit. I've played in conditions in which I've had that kind of delay, how about you don't accuse people of making shit up?

i think yo are the one full of shit, 5 seconds is a fucking long ass time and you would 100% drop out of the game long before even a full 2 seconds of lag

Herp derp, not actual 5 seconds of delay but lag LIKE THAT (aka BAD LAG). Don't be so damn literal and nit pick. The point is that excessive lag exists in which it literally feels like everything is taking about 30 seconds to occur. Who cares what the actual numerical value of the time delay is, the point is that it SEVERELY AFFECTS PLAY.

You were talking about literal 5 second delay you ass, scv's building 5 seconds after you press the button lol you are such a tool. I play from regional Australia which has some of the shittest internet for a long time I know what it's like to play in shit lag and yes it sucks but nowhere near to the hyperbole you were spouting.
