i feel like i deserved to see that top class korean play after sitting through the terrible NASL games today :D

oh god watching nasl games has become a chore. go mvp!!

Painuser vs drebie was just painful to watch, as if they trying to win the worst NASL player award.

hahaha was it really? I didn't get to check that series actually. Was is really that bad?

Painuser played like he'd not played SC2 in a month.

Woah what am I seeing? NASL spoilers in the GSL LR thread? -.-

Those games had nothing to spoil.

Besides, I've not said who won.
Did you ever say Yes to a single joy?

None.

To be honest, does it really matter? This will be the last time we will be seeing him.

why? he isnt that bad, you never know. remember san? worst player in GSL, and then look what he did

Rain is also turning into a pretty solid player, if the last up and down matches are an indication.

Rain was NEVER bad. san was bad, but not THAT bad. ButterflyEffect is a whole new level.

Ganzi vT: 5-14 (26.32%)

I don't think he can get past Butterfly.

Butterfly is the man who played THE WORST series of Code A vs Littleboy, it was pretty much singlehandedly the reason that Code A play was briefly made synonymous with terrible play, as well as being the series that defined suiciding into siege tank lines. In the final game he let his planetary at the gold just burn down despite the fact it was a fully mining base...somehow though he actually won that series.

The following season he got demolished by Revival.

He may have improved, but I'd fully expect him to get destroyed by Ganzi here.

5-14 is actually Ganzi's brood war TvT record. He's 0-6 in SC2. Prolly 2-6 soon thanks to this lucky 1st round draw.

So I'm agreeing with everyone that MVP's lategame was terrible. His MMM army was being absolutely destroyed by archon/chargelot deathball. It may have been the SCV count, but tastosis said they were both even ~ 60. I'm wondering what MVP could have even transitioned to? BCS? Thors? Both are VERY susceptible to feeback though... What is lategame TvP even suppose to be?

well, i think :

1) free up supply to have a bigger army, 35-40scvs max and a lot of orbitals.
2) do not make blind viking, check the colossi count everytime to have the biggest ground army possible
3) 3/3 upgrades on your bio
4) a lot of Ghosts
5) if there is no colossi on the field and you have clutch emp micro, make a lot of marines, they eat zealots for breackfast but it's risky because if he can psy storm you are done, or you can just make marauders, but you have to kite like a boss to be cost effective.

It just depends on where you fight. That map is good for protoss if they get a third up safely because the zealots have crazy surface area. Do not count the importance of the map. On another map the fights would have gone different.

Tbh, you guys are overreacting. MVP had a lot of defense and had a perfect divide and conquer strategy which truly tested his opponents multitasking skills. He was nowhere near dying with all the pfs and always ahead in economy.

Finally Artosis makes a decent point about SC vs Zelda.

He's failed so hard to articulate it, and now he's done it. That's exactly why i can't vote for SC2 over Zelda. SC2 is a spectator sport for me, thus it cannot compete with the joy Zelda has given me.

Thank you sir, you are 100% correct.

MVP's TvP looked very vulnerable this series, he wouldn't stand a chance against Alicia or MC I guess.

The Hellion didn't do nearly enough to the SCVs there. It should have 10 kills more than it did.
