He was in the top 4 of the first weekly cup. But he is only top 8, I remebered he lost against a zerg. Whoops. My mistake. There was a repeat top 4 (PuMa) so HuK must have won whatever the tiebreaker was for the last spot...
EDIT: I think Diamond said the tiebreaker was TLPD ELO which makes sense as the quarterfinalists in the first weekly were: PuMa Huk Jjakji Seed
Of those 4, PuMa qualified for the other weeks and Huk has the highest ELO of the remaining 3. But I guess we'll let diamond confirm.
EDIT 2: Looks like it was just a mistake as Taeja doesn't appear in his list of qualified players.

Diamond, would you be able to update the OP to include links to the replay packs of uncasted games? I'm sorry if it's there, or somewhere else easy to find, but I just can't find them (and I recently downloaded the uncasted replay pack of the first two weeks, I don't remember where though).
Also what would be nice is if you could update older replay packs to include replays of casted games up until the semi-finals or something. I'm sure I'm not the only one that likes to watch games to learn and it's difficult to do while following a general cast of the game. Your casts are great and I try to tune in to this tournament whenever I can but there's a lot of games that I just want to load up as a replay to see players hotkey layouts, exact build orders, exact timings, etc.
Are players entirely opposed to having replays of their play released even in a casted tournament like this, or do you think it would be possible to release replays of the casted games several weeks after the games have been played? I know it's against your interest in releasing your broadcasted content as replays (since you ideally want as many views as possible, even for the VODs). However, there has to be a point where you can no longer expect people to view the VODs just to see the gameplay and outcome of an older game (which is all a replay offers).

Hey everyone! I'm not at home at the moment, but I saw the posts. I will look into the seeding issue when I get home and also I will put the replay packs in the OP. Will be sort of late (est) but I will get on it. Just wanted to let you know I saw !

Ugh that is the worst army control I've ever seen. No micro whatsoever, just a move into forcefields.

Some of the worst decision making I have seen this far in any tournament.

So how did he make it to the finals? He must have been nervous or something...

wtf just happened? take a 5 minute break and game 4 over already? what happened?
|
He's had some tough opponents: PuMa and Hack
Maybe he's just not comfortable in ZvP?

Am I missing something? Didn't Life win the 1st game with a Nydus? Shouldn't the score be 3-3 now?
|
I don't understand Zerg players and their willingness to over-macro. There's zero reason to go three base against a one-basing Protoss. Life deserved to get cheesed there. :\

No, JVP held that off pretty well and Life failed so bad.

You're a great solo caster, and its a cool tourney.
Please don't add the 'token female caster'. She's a good caster, but for whatever reason, in our male nerd dominated hobby it just doesn't work well. Not to be sexist, but its the same in the superbowl, world cup finals, etc. It doesn't work and its too much distraction.

If he goes sentry expand and you're on two bases at the 6-7 minute mark, you're behind.
So he took his 3rd between 5-6 minutes.
Now of course, when he didn't see an expansion from the toss up at the 6-7 minute mark, he should have absolutely expected some sort of 1 base cheese. Not sure when the voids actually got to his third, but he should have had spores up.
One of the big problems on that map is how absurdly short the air distance is from your third to your opponents main. It takes literally 30 seconds for the voids to get across (maybe less?). Tough to hold your third that way. Even if he wasn't 1 base cheesing and instead going stargate expand...
But yea, I do agree that the zerg definitely should have been ready for that and got greedy. But it's a pretty easy mistake to make.
