Kiwikaki ? LOL

I hope you're joking.

when was the last time that Kiwi actually looked impressive enough to defeat koreans?

edit: overall, this looks like a massive facreoll, MVP is gonna steam over the competition ezpz... let's see some MVP mech vs GoOdy mech, tho.

According to TLPD, he declined his spot, it went to the second place, Slider.

As I understand it, it should have been eSh.DeathAngel but PGL decided to only send him to IeSF.

I would have loved to see more coverage regarding WCG qualifiers, a preview, if not something in community news by staff, then something written by a knowledgeable member. I only get my starcraft news from TL, and there is no information about it here...

I also added many players to the final player list. This is based off of the final list of participants WCG has. There are a bunch more, winners from Argentina, Slovenia, Hungary, Kazakhstan and Jordan. There are some other problems as well, right now they have the Belgian FIFA player in the SC2 competition (instead of Orly), only 1 Ukrainian and moonglade is missing.

HuK is listed as Canadian as that's what they have him as.

MVP should win this. Although, MKP is the winner of special events...

I'm glad there are some players here (HuK, IdrA, DIMAGA) that have/can take out the koreans and give SC its first non-korean winner!!

Just like WCG Korea was? As long as MVP's in the tournament, MKP will almost never win.

Raleigh he beat Noblesse and NaDa, as well as a few others, if I recall. I think I get your point though, the level of competition here would generally be higher if it was an all-korean tournament, but of course the point of the WCG is for it to be a real global tournament with representatives from all over the world, no matter how that particular country's scene stands in comparison to others.

That aside, i'm excited that there's actually a Norwegian representative. Snute!!!

Updated the Hungarian winner, an old face for BW fans, Gorky. Capoch also managed to qualify this weekend.
I mentioned earlier that only one Ukrainian was on the players list but now both Kas and Strelok have been added, no Dimaga yet though.

BlinG will do well at this event, he showed how good he is by comfortably beating both Thorzain and Darkforce this weekend at IPL.UK.

MVP should bring home another title. He's the best player attending and his TvT is as good as it gets, with his Korean competition being only Terran.

SICK. I've been checking up on this thread quite often over the past few months. So SO glad to Finally see HuK added to the list Repping Canada. He and Kiwi have a great opportunity here!

Kinda wish they had a third qualifier for Sweden tho... Naniwa/T-Zain/Jinro/Sase/Sjow all are capable of upsetting the Koreans I think.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

Didnt HuK get his spot from WCG USA? Kiwikaki is representing WCG Canada?

Yeah, the 2nd swedish qualifier I heard was badly executed, not enough info for signing up so many of the top players missed it really sad, especially given Naniwas performance at MLG this weekend

He's listed as Canada in the Samsung Notebook Super Match poll.

So I guess EG decided to pay the $1.5k for US participants to get Huk/IdrA in?

Sad that it had to come to that... but I guess both of them will be in Korea anyways... so they don't have to pay for travel expenses or anything..
