On the Wikipedia page this is the only reason given "The SC2 qualifiers of these countries are cancelled: Romania Costa Rica " why? As I understand it, it should have been eSh.DeathAngel but PGL decided to only send him to IeSF. Source/link to this information? I would have loved to see more coverage regarding WCG qualifiers, a preview, if not something in community news by staff, then something written by a knowledgeable member. I only get my starcraft news from TL, and there is no information about it here...

This is based off of the final list of participants WCG has. There are a bunch more, winners from Argentina, Slovenia, Hungary, Kazakhstan and Jordan. There are some other problems as well, right now they have the Belgian FIFA player in the SC2 competition (instead of Orly), only 1 Ukrainian and moonglade is missing. HuK is listed as Canadian as that's what they have him as.

Raleigh he beat Noblesse and NaDa, as well as a few others, if I recall. I think I get your point though, the level of competition here would generally be higher if it was an all-korean tournament, but of course the point of the WCG is for it to be a real global tournament with representatives from all over the world, no matter how that particular country's scene stands in comparison to others. That aside, i'm excited that there's actually a Norwegian representative. Snute!!!

I mentioned earlier that only one Ukrainian was on the players list but now both Kas and Strelok have been added, no Dimaga yet though.

Kinda wish they had a third qualifier for Sweden tho... Naniwa/T-Zain/Jinro/Sase/Sjow all are capable of upsetting the Koreans I think.

Yeah, the 2nd swedish qualifier I heard was badly executed, not enough info for signing up so many of the top players missed it really sad, especially given Naniwas performance at MLG this weekend

Sad that it had to come to that... but I guess both of them will be in Korea anyways... so they don't have to pay for travel expenses or anything..
