I can't wait until spanishiwa's double nydus/queen/broodlord slow pushes make a splash in televised games.

I was about to say, Spanishiwa is having great success with 6-7 queens. In early games they defend against pretty much anything, you get sick creep spread and then later on you can transfuse. And the 10 supply for 5 transfuse are worth it I think (only if you go high-hp units like ultras or broods of course). You don't need to remax if your units never die.

his style is very defensive (queens are pretty immobile), sure you got creep spread, but won't you rather mutas to shut down drop harass better(vT) or other units (roach, ling, corrupters, etc) that would be more mobile/easier to mass/etc)?

:D

Was it bomber who danced in front of the other team that one time?

I can't recall exactly but Losira making his units dance, then proceeding to lose and his opponent doing it back to him was pretty great.

I think Bomber made his marines dance, lost them to lings, Losira made his lings dance, then Bomber killed them all with more marines.

The only thing i can think of why he is using overlords is when u A move, the stalkers will target the OLs first, before the aggro of roaches gets the stalkers to shoot them, maybe .... hehe ..

Overseers were for a ceremony. Unless you don't like ceremonies in principle, which case making them was a waste to begin with.

I've always thought that if you have extra minerals and supply and you've used up all your larva, you might as well just make queens to macro your resources better, especially in the early mid game.

If you are anything masters or higher. You won't have the spare minerals or supply to make queens. It's all getting spent elsewhere. Especially early-mid game.

Queens are great defensive units in mass early game. But that's the only purpose they serve other than creep/inject until you get broodlords. Just because they're so effing slow. Although i do transfuse my stacked mutas when they're weak against T. It's a very situational thing. Even the transfuse is situational because unless you plan to do it, you've already spent your energy injecting and spreading creep.

GSTL seems to be a place for newer players who are hit or miss in the Code A qualifiers / Code A to get some real tournament experience under the belt. And practice dealing with the pressure of playing in front of a live audience and cameras. Also, the GSTL probably gives the more upper deck pro players a break from the pressure of Code A / Code S to focus on practice and chillin.

This seems to be the standard. Some of the newer Code S and Code A has had their breakthrough in the GSTL. Its the reason why I kind of like the GSTL. They send out the hard hitters when they need too.

Plus, who says these are players noone wants to see! I want to see them!

Agree. Tho the farce that was yesterdays GSTL with terrible play, worse players, is not something I want to see :D

It's because they never read my awesome thread or tried to play like Spanishiwa : http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=185087

Hah, just read your thread -- great info, and love the pictures :-p Didn't realize queens could tank so much.

Inca beat Losira just over a week ago I think.

Other than that, the last PvZ was the finals.

Sc beat Losira, InCa has yet to beat a zerg.

Yeah, before NesTea his vZ record was 0-4
now his GSL vZ record's 0-8...

Wasn't Noblesse the guy who went for fast Ghosts in a TvT and EMP'd a bunch of Banshees while sniping Marines? If so I hope we get to see some Ghost play in TvZ too!

Yes, he used a ghost opening vs Maka on scrapstation and completely wrecked him.

lol Doa

The zerg says macro, the protoss says cheese, the marine says I can't decide so I'll just stim.

Hasn't it been proven already that Spanishiwa-style isn't viable anywhere but on NA ladder, against some below average Masters.

proven by whom?
