EPTSorry Gretorp, but transpose is certainly one of the words you consistently misuse, although it's not the most obvious of them.
The relevant definitions of transpose that aren't obsolete are as follows according to the OED:
5.To alter the order of (a set or series of things), or the position of (a thing) in a series; to put each of (two or more things) in the place of the other or others, to interchange; esp. to alter the order of letters in a word or of words in a sentence. (Now the ordinary sense.)
7. Music. To alter the key of; to put into a different key (in composition, arrangement, or performance)
The closest definition, though incredibly obsolete, to the way you employ the word is this, and even this isn't precisely accurate for your usage:
1. trans. To change (one thing) to or into another; to transform, transmute, convert. Obs.
I'm an editor so these things probably disproportionately annoy me, but I don't have an unrealistic expectation of perfection in spoken English. God knows I wouldn't want my own conversational/casual written English to be nit picked. There are just some words that you should just cease using because you don't use them correctly the majority of the time, or even consistently misuse them (girth, relativity, scale, behooves, transpose).
I know that this post is anal, but it's not intended to be meanspirited, I've watched every game of the NASL, pay for the VODs, and really really appreciate the tournament and your hard work.
