Wow, that was a disappointing series. Don't get me wrong I expected Nani to win, because I think he is better than Hasu atm, but I was expecting something more from this series.

ZvZ has some amount conflipping in the openings but it's not nearly as bad as in PvP

Feels resentment to White-Ra vs MC a month ago.

This is correct. Hasu showed some bad decision making these few games. Game 4 he did not scout for proxies and was punished with a proxy-gate into 4 gate. Every time he tried to wall off, he didn't wall off properly and let Naniwa into his base. Game 5 when it was a 4-gate battle, he chose to tech and not get sentries. This meant Naniwa straight up busted his way into Hasu's base before Hasu's tech could kick in.

If anything, Naniwa exploited Hasu's bad decision making and response to 4-gates and repeatedly punished him for it. It's as simple as that. There's $15k on the line. Naniwa is not going to leave this up to chance. If you know someone always plays Paper, it's not cheese to go Scissors. It's just the correct decision.

And a shameless promotion of my thread on how to LR.

PvP is like country music. I can appreciate the talent that goes into putting it together as someone with enough musical background to know how difficult it is to do the things the musicians do but damn, if I go the rest of my life never hearing another country song I wouldn't really mind.

Really looking forward to Thorizain vs. Naniwa in the finals. It was the final I was hoping would result from today's games.

ZvZ is way worse than PvP. Least PvP has insane micro rock-paper-scissors, rather than A move rock-paper-scissors.

How can people complain about the entertainment value of these games? didn't we all know it'd be a 4gate fest alrdy? Will always be in PvP until 1.3.3 -.-

do u really u think 1.3.3 will change anything? i mean both players will be affected by slightly later wg ... ..

of course I do, because it'll be delayed and u'll have time to get up a robo or w/e in time instead

It should change things yes the counter to 4gate aggression was 2 gate zealot. It crushed it but whether people will appreciate 4gaters being crushed by a 2 gate is another question. I suspect not.

This is one small step for man, a giant leap for mankind. We will move from 4 gate to 2 gate proxy. God bless late game PvP.

All those norush people who whined about MC's incredibly clutch proxy gates against White-Ra last month must be frothing in rage right now. GJ Naniwa :D

I hope Thorzain wins next week tho!

yep, lan experience won't be an issue here... both have enough to not suffer greatly from it

Well the better player won. Hasu had a good run but I myself would feel a little disappointed if the final was ThorZain vs Hasu instead of ThorZain vs NaniWa.
