If leagues are really trying to maximise or compete for viewers it seems ludicrous not to include any Korean pro's. I'm sure a lot of people watching a tournament want to see the absolute best players in the world competing. IPL doesn't provide this, and whoever wins this season will have question marks over the meaning of their result due to no korean being present.
IPL seems to have made the choice not to have any Koreans involved. Hopefully this will be remedied for season 3. Sadly I'm no-where near as excited for season 2 as I could have been.
Personally, I'm happy that Koreans aren't invited. If I want to see Koreans I can watch the GSL, NASL, MLG, ESL world championships, etc. I'm sure there are a lot of people who really just want to see good games and don't care that MC, Nestea, MVP, Losira, etc are there or not. I admit that I love watching Koreans play, but I'm also a huge fan of tournaments with mainly (or exclusively) foreigners.
As for having question marks over the meaning of the result, well, what exactly are you looking for? The absolute best players in the world haven't necessarily made it to ANY tournament except GSL. Puma just beat MC in the NASL, but would he have won if HuK was there? Or maybe MVP? Winning a tournament means that you were the best player of all the players in the tournament, over that particular point in time. The IPL doesn't have to be the equivalent of the Olympics for people to enjoy it, or for the accomplishment of winning the tournament to mean something.

Unless you saw it on one of the player's streams. Oh I see what you're saying. Thanks for clearing that up.
Yep, they indeed rematch during the first round of the IPL. :D

The quality of vods and promotional videos is just crazy.. keep doing this!! Including EU players is an awesome thing as well!.. And don't let anyone convince you otherwise, having koreans in the future would undoubtedly benefit the league!

wow this event was announced over two months ago. Will it ever get a front page story? Or will IPL forever live in the shadows of NASL?

I am glad Koreans are not represented in this tournament. The foreign scene needs their own big dollar tournaments too. Foreigners aren't going to get anywhere in ESPORTS if they keep on getting beaten by Koreans in every single tournament they enter.

Dunno exactly but it has already been played) but yeah he had this game and didn't use it to his advantage. But White_ra also played fantastically tbh...

By contrast:

"Or next time I kick you ass!"
Whitera so gosu. Lalush being BM isn't really any huge news - but he is doing it quite regularly now.

can't stand lalush and his balance shit/bm, it's cool/funny when idra says it, but can't stand lalush... damn whitera

lalush was imba whining in a bo5 series at ipl. lalush eventually wins the series and white-ra says this
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/8S6nQ.jpg)
i really don't get why lalush complains about balance. i agree with zerg being underpowered, but that only affects world-class players. lalush is not good enough to be completely hindered by balance
|
Some of these first round matchups make me sad are sick. Axslav vs Thorzain, Destiny vs Socke, Mana vs Darkforce, Kiwikaki vs Strelok, Nerchio vs Cloud, Select vs Ret. Good thing this is a double elimination tournament.

/facepalm
Agreed that lalush was being a dick, what I don't agree with his people like you saying he isn't world class. Lalush is very easily top 5 - 10 zerg outside korea. If you don't agree, you really have no idea.

White-Ra was not doing anything in this series that zerg have trouble with. White-Ra wasn't even getting blink until 15-20 minutes in most games, balled his units, etc.
Lalush would shit himself against a korean protoss =/

Being one of the best solely outside of Korea isn't really world class, world class means just that - the entire world, including Korea.
Even then, I wouldn't say he's top 5...top 10, maybe, but at that point the parity of players relative to each other more or less fluctuates. For instance, my top 5 zergs outside Korea would be IdrA, Dimaga, Nerchio, Darkforce, Morrow, and sometimes Ret when he shows flashes of excellence. I don't really see any notable achievements from Lalush quite yet.
