1.Each player Must be signed in at least one half-hour before tournament begins. 2. Walk-in sign-ups are available, but we encourage you to please let one of us know that will be attending, whether it be via email, posted response, or through bnet. 3. No spectators besides the approved Red Fusion staff allowed in game, though spectators in the center are welcome. 4. Bad manners will result in the banning of a player. 5.Disconnects will result in a re-make of the match. 6. Players must bring either headphones or a headset so that they are not able to hear the caster.
As previously stated, walk-in sign-ups are welcome, but we encourage you to please let us know you are attending. The easiest ways to do so are the following: 1.Contact the Organizer via battle in 2 ways: gamer tag (Mrwet 706) ( join bnet channel: Red Fusion)
2. Contact us via email (organizer:ivanjose609@aol.com) (owner: redfusiongc@live.com)
3.Leave a response to this post with your gamer tag and character code.
1. Everyone from any league is encouraged to play.
2. If you have any other questions feel free to join the Red Fusion chat channel in Starcraft or please message Mrwet. He is one for most of the day and can answer any possible questions you may have.
3.Red Fusion will be hosting a LAN based Starcraft 2 tournament every 1-3 months. With that said, we will be using a point system to give seeding within the brackets. For participating you automatically receive 5 points. The amount of points you gain from the actual tournament is based upon the place you come in. The most points are given for 1st place and so on and so forth.
This is really cool My two younger brothers and I are definitely considering going ^^ 2 hour drive for us, but it'll be worth it to just play and have fun
I see we have to bring our own headphones, but do we need to bring a mouse and keyboard too? Only if we have specific preferences?
And can a mod change the title to South Jersey? It's not North.
@DarkPlasmaBall sorry about the title, TL post wont let me mod the title, sorry about that, and no, keyboard and mouse are optional, not required, and if you do not have your own headset we are more then happy to allow you to borrow one of ours, please please please come, the more people the better the gameplay
@SeltzerPlease that would be awsome if you could cover the event. As of right now we do not have anybody shoutcasting the matches for the audience and the livestream and we would love it if you would do us a huge favor and do so. The main reason we are throwing this tournament is to help the esports movement to the east coast and tri-state area, and having a caster on a live stream would help that much more. Please consider.
I may be able to attend depending on when finals at my school are scheduled for...
AGIANTSMURF.190
*Also if there is a need for shoutcasting i have a bit of experience casting other tournaments (Might bring a friend who also co-cast with me since he lives in NJ)
Please everyone, i ask that if you are bringing people either to play or spectate that you say so on this post. I am working on a sponsorship from Steelseries and a few other high brand names to get the winners prizes and by showing that more people will be attending helps the cause. Thank you, and go Starcraft!!!!
Fusion the two players i am bringing with me are both going to be playing, so count us as a group of three. I don't have there player codes or anything, but its me(deathlabel), bigwig, and griffs

I'll be bringing 1 or 2 people to spectate. 20 more days! Also didn't realize South Jersey (and NJ in general) had a big (big to me lol) SC2 community. Hoping for more LANs in Jersey.
I just realized that this tournament and the Cybercraft Tournamenta re being held the same day at the same time... how are players expected to play at both?
-Double Elimination -First map:BO3 chosen by winner of coin toss -Loser Of game picks next map -Losers Bracket Finals:BO5 -Finals:Winner of losers bracket must win 4 Games, Winners bracket player must win 2
No mention of Winners Finals... and why is Loser Final Bo5 when Grand Final is Bo3 for winners finalist, 2x Bo3 for loser finalist?
otherwise, cool beans. sounds like an interesting tourney and hope all goes well ^^

Sorry bro, i didn't realize this until it was too late. As of right now we are still holding the tournament at the mentioned date and time, but next time I will make sure that this scheduling conflict doesn't happen.

Technically the winners bracket finals is the finals for the tournament. If you mean the match that determines who will be going to the grand finals and who gets knocked into the losers bracket, then that is also a Bo5. The reason that the finals are set up that ways is because the winner of the winners bracket earned their spot in the finals without losing a set, so they are entitled to an easier grand finals win. MLG format is the same if you would like to visit their page to learn more.
usually it would be something like winner final Bo5, loser final Bo5, grand final Bo5 (but the loser's finalist can win the Bo5 to force a reset and do another Bo5)
it usually just going up or stays even in BoX, not going from Bo5 to Bo3... all I meant
but if you got it all set, more power to you... just unusual to see is all
I cant believe there is a LAN in south jersey! We've been hosting our lans in DC because I couldn't find a lan center in Jersey.. Is it free to spectate?

Ill let you know, I will most likely take over after the current caster has to leave but im thinking of doing some dual casting so i might take you up on that
@pokebunny/gretorp yea guys don't worry, we will be having 1 tournament every month and I will personally make sure that our next event doesn't land on the same day the nyc. I would also love to be at the nyc so i will do my best to not overlap our dates.
@gfever no, it really depends on how many people actually show, how long the matches are, if the matches are 2-0's or 2-1's, things like this make it impossible to tell how long this will be
ARGH.. Fusion... I kept hitting up the fb page when SC2 came out.... but now after I take 2 months off from SC2, i see you post something on FB about it now.... too late for me to schedule myself there.... but GL to all, hopefully its successful and ill catch the next one.
THAT WAS SOO FUN.... I WANT MORE!!!! LOVE cDgFocus...Met a bunch of great people....soo welcoming and very skillful.. i definitely learned alot from them
Was a great LAN tournament, my first ever LAN..and I learned a lot to prepare myself for MLG and future LAN's....Bring lots of Water to stay hydrated lol
Thank you to all those who turned out. It was a really fun and successful event, i will be posting the brackets/results very soon as well as an interview with the winner.
I know its been a some time since i have posted on this but I have been very busy. We are hoping to the have the info on the next tournament asap. Its taking some time do to the fact that the next tournament is going to be a League of Legends (boo) tournament. Well as soon as that event is done i will get the next thread for the tournament up, for now, keep practicing and gl hf.
