MC has gained a huge amount of hatred lately after repeatedly beating White-Ra and especially doing that proxy gate. Do I think that kind of hate is rational? Heck no.

I'm assuming you're talking about the proxy gate in the final set of MC vs. White-Ra. Not going to start a flame war here, i just want to point out that both players played very well but MC came out on top in a perfectly legitimate non-"idiotical" fashion. The MC hate is strong in this thread but you must admit that the guy's good. He is not a one trick pony (Rain) and is a pretty manner guy in real life despite his larger than life stage persona.
If anything, all you haters that believe he is abusing the game and winning underhandedly should be glad that he is so prominent while sc2 is still rather young so that his strategies may be figured out and effectively countered so that the metagame can evolve further. If you truly believe MC doesn't have the skills to compete, then he will fade away. End of story.

It's cool that Iron is going back to being a B-level player, now that new better players are getting into the game... that bodes well for SC2.. it's not really cool to have someone with a 1-9 record in BW be the poster boy for the game in Korea you know?

I don't dislike MC, but his PvP, while impressive, is so frustrating to watch. He always seems to expand late, often winning off a timing attack when his opponent takes their natural. Sure, it's amazing play, but imo, boring and repetetive.
Inca's PVP is still very solid.

It's pretty sad how quick this community can go from loving a player to hating them. It had to be only two months ago everyone was drooling over MC's aggressive play style and SanZenith was the butt of everyone's jokes...

Well, terran players usually transition out of marines b/c they become liabilities against protoss late tech including colossus and HT. Tanks aren't so great against chargelots/colossi either.

I have to agree with this even as a WhiteRa fanboy myself...  I've never been a big fan of MC, but I don't see why people hate on him. Anyway... I'm surprised he's out. I thought him and Polt were going to make it through. Wow. I wonder if he will go down to code A by the hands of someone like MMA.

I had a feeling this upset would happen. I tried so hard to wake up to watch it happen, but sleep was too strong. It should be exciting to see what's going to happen with the rest of the season. Also, there sure are a lot of Terrans.

You do occasionally see people stay on tanks but the thing is that later on in the game once the Protoss can get whatever he wants(charge, immortals, etc) the tanks just become a lot less threatening, as do the marines. The marine/tank stuff works by being a 2 base timing attack that contains the Protoss before he has everything he needs to fully deal with it. If you stay on it the whole game you're begging to get countered, or worse, caught unsieged, which is absolutely GG in TvP.

Dont like a player playstyle or even his personality is no big deal but when you go to a live report just to bash on a player because he lost where is supposed to have a lot of fans at best you're very immature.
Im a big fan of Whitera and most of times he is very mannered but he is/was BM when he feels uncomfortable with certain things in the game. He did BM against Sen on GSL, he did BM against MC on TSL, he did BM several times at first months of game against Terrans everytime he would lost he would go "Omg terran impossible" or "Terran overpowered", also when MorroW won against Dimaga on a semifinals i believe it was either WCG or IEM he made a post saying how morrow just won because he is abusing the overpoweredness of Terran race (it's probably on the news section of his site still) and making fun of MorroW EMP'ing by mistake a group of banelings when there was no infestors in the composition and still winning the game.
I dont think BM like that is a big deal, players do get frustrated and sometimes let it show on the chat, not the best professional act but even the most sucessful professionals will, from time to time, do something unprofessional, just don't like the kind of BM that Idra did against HuK on 2nd game on MLG telling him to FO.
All the ultra top players like Jaedong and Flash cheeses very often from time to time, this is a strategic game and if the threat of cheese and timed pushes didnt exist any RTS game would be incredibly boring where people wouldnt build a single military unit before having at least 3 bases with 75-85 workers total and all upgrades/tech possible.

well they cant stick to just tanks all game cuz the toss reacts to the tanks and gets mass speedlots obv.
