That's a lot of bias for one post. You'd almost think oGs stole your lunch money? Was always going to be the oGs group of death. To be honest I did predict MC + Supernova, but expected MC + Polt. Either way at least one oGs was going down, so you were guarenteed some revenge for your lunch money. Just started watching the first game, and sure enough MC doesn't miss a chance cannoning a Zerg. The whole oGs house is like a cheesecake factory, you know. Maybe except Jinro and Nada. Artosis' baseless hyping of oGs players don't help, either. (Supernova, the Terran of the future - REALLY?) Lol oGs the cheesecake factory? Watch any of MC's games where his opponent survives 'til MC's 3 bases... Do they win any of them? MC lost the games today because of economic greed. Did you watch San vs. TheWind? Can't say anything about supernova, but I've heard he is a bit cheesy... but that is made up for by TOP, who is not cheesy at all! Yes, I'm an oGs fanboy, but don't make assumptions about a team that aren't true. Supernova's not a very cheesy player as far as I can tell. His TvP is definitely the flavor style right now among top players. Those marine/tank contains vP people like MVP were doing recently are out of Supernova's playbook. i noticed that a lot of players are opening marine/tank/maybe a raven/banshee but then revert back to marauder/medivac/viking. is there a reason for that? no one seems to stick with tanks the whole game well they cant stick to just tanks all game cuz the toss reacts to the tanks and gets mass speedlots obv. ok well i am for one am very disappointed by this "new TvP" everyone's been hyping when it looks like the regular build at 9 minutes or so. herp derp.

The amount of haters is ridiculous in this thread.

so watching MKP tribute and noticed like out of all his second place finish most of it was to IM xD
|
I'm really disappointed that MC lost. I really wanted a Zerg to be the one who beat him. I guess we'll just have to wait for next season for a new Zerg hero to emerge.
|
I'm dismayed over the Wind throwing his matches. I consider him to be a litmus test of when SC2 players have increased their physical game mechanics to make someone as smart as him obsolete. I hope he doesn't give up in the up and down matches.

It's because Marine/tank is quite good against early gateway units and it therefore can be more effective against one-base protoss play than bio, but charge and blink and thermal lance means that the tanks become fairly ineffective fast once higher protoss tech comes out and it's better just to stick to bio.

really boring that oGs tried to rig the group (Thewind obviously throwing his matches) and obviously MC was supposed to go trough with supernova, i dont mind MC getting knocked out but i really wanted to see what TheWind had to offer after his super ZvP against san last season. It really became too obvious in the tal'darim game that he wasnt playing his full potential, and im not saying that supernova isn't good/didnt deserve to move on. But it was obvious that he threw that game, Thewind just staying on 3 base not doing anything while he had complete map control and control of the whole center...we can all figure out that TheWind is 10 times better than that and that he was limiting himself so supernova would go through.
in general really dissapointed with the first day, and i hope we can see some other player rise up and prevent MKP from taking the trophy, san perhaps?

Soooo... MC to the Up and Down matches? Wow that's surprising. Based on the recommended games stating "none", I'm guessing pretty cheesey?

Many Zerg players are outraged because MC thrashed JulyZerg in GSL March Finals, and because as the top Protoss in the world, all Toss-related rage can be projected onto him.
Many Terran players are annoyed because MC was the innovator of the 6 gate rush which brought PvT out of the Dark Ages and because as the top Toss in the world, all Toss-related rage can be projected on him.
Some Protoss players (primarily san and White-Ra fans) are annoyed because he has choked the life out of them in Bo3s/Bo5s, especially with flawless 4 Gate rushes.
However, those players who play Protoss or players who appreciate excellence are still happy with him, and sad to see the Ro16 talent pool shrink considerably.
That being said, MC definitely lost because of his own mistakes (ironically, playing greedy macro games despite criticism that he only does good timing attacks. he may have been trying to prove himself as a macro player instead of just focusing on winning, so i'd expect to see more aggro play from MC in the future. also, veto of xel'naga fortress lol.)
oGsMC is confident and some might say cocky, but I think that's just a persona he reflects, and it makes him notable.
He's a good-natured guy that (as far as I know) is the only player to try and consistently use English during his interviews and maintain a Twitter focused on outreach to foreign fans. He has shown himself to have a great sense of humor and a fierce focus on being THE BEST SC2 player. He's shown many different strategies, mastery of timing attacks and macro games, and does not consistently lose to anyone or any race. Also, I haven't seen any GSL player with better unit control than him. There's a reason he has something like a 90% PvP win ratio.
He may be down for now, but those who are laughing and gloating about his disappointing performance won't be laughing for too long, I would wager...
EDIT: Actually, bizarrely, the one player he is 0-2 (in appearances, not games) against in GSL is Polt! Go figure.

No, not cheesy. MC just played terrible. oGsTheWind tried to rig the group matches, throwing games to MC and SuperNova.Travesty really. Someone should be banned.

Very well argumented and he's actually 0-4 gainst Polt, he lost on GSL Open Season 1 to Polt 0-2. Edit: He's also 0-2 to Nestea lost to him on GSL Open 2.

I think it's more like they should fix the whole three players on the same team in the same bracket business..I could see why the TheWind did that..

Guys, realy ... why do you discuss so much about MC hate and that stuff.
Isn't that kind of thing that makes it look like a sport ? the rivalries, the "hate" between the fans ?
Imagine (to take an example) Bears and Packers fans were all best friends, imagine there were no rivalries ... wouldn't it make the matches between those teams much more boring ?
You can take every sport: competition, emotions, .... are what makes the sport so great. It isn't any different in Starcraft 2.
Just think about that!

Ok, I don't blame the fans for hating. MC's games are just boring and so abusive. I admit he's good but it's really painful watching his games. I think people watch his games just to see him lose and I'm one of those. Anyways Polt hwaiting lol

Mc picked Wind, MC asked wind to pick Polt if Polt accepted to pick Nestea. Polt said on mic that he wanted to pick Nestea anyway but not because MC is asking. When Polt went to the stage he said "Changed my mind" and picked another oGs member. Very evil from Polt, the entire oGs house might be hating him right now.
