Because he did not seem all that good in the GSL, and now we've got other chinese players talking about how bad EU and NA is >_<. Not even close. He hasn't been the best player since 2011 started. He really hit his peak at BlizzCon when he went head to head with Genius in the finals (and that was when Terran was seriously overpowered). If you guys want to watch out for a Chinese Terran player, keep your eye on TylooInfi. He's a top 5 WC3 player who is currently ranked #1 on the SC2 grandmaster ladder despite still not officially switching yet. If you look at Tyloo's webpage, he isn't even listed on their SC2 roster. That's because he's just laddering right now, and is only playing WC3 competitively. If he switches, it'd make him the best WC3 player to switch so far. And before you bring up Grubby, Moon, and Lyn, those guys are more like historical legends, the Boxers of WC3 if you will, whereas Infi is top 5 RIGHT NOW. Did you ever follow the wc3 scene? Moon is famous for changing up the way you play Night Elf, it was so good and different that his nickname became the 5th Race (Orc Night Elf Human Undead and Moon). Grubby became famous because he was extremely good and because he defeated the 5th race when he was at his prime. Lyn is only really famous because he was really good and he was a fan favorite, he didn't really accomplish anything that other players hadn't already done. Infi was in the same situation, although he wasn't a majority fan favorite, he was #1 in the world for quite some time, just like all the others were. There was a point in time where nobody could beat Infi, so don't take anything away from him as a wc3 player. Chinese players have always been really good, and have always been held back by very high latency, even in the Asian servers (just cause Chinese internet sucks balled, or at least did). When you put them in LAN tournaments vs the best of the rest, China always showed big success. It's not surprising to see 3 out of 4 Chinese players in the semis while they are playing on the Chinese server. The fact that they are all Protoss just signifies that China has best figured out Protoss.

Now that alot of the chinese WC3 players are starting to play SC2, like Infi and xiaOt does anyone think the master human himself, Xi Liaofeng, aka WE.IGE.Sky will make the transition? I would love to see what kind of mischief he could cause in this game, maybe even battle against Moon and Grubby /nerderection.
Well I was looking around on the StarsWar website and found a match that is scheduled between Moon and Sky.

It will take place on the 11th of June, 10.30 Beijing Time. But it did not state which stage that is, only its stars war...
I think you should go to the gigabyte official site: http://www.starswar.org/
Edit: I think it should be RO 8 between chinese and international players. It will be held offline maybe.

This is amazing, great job guys :D

Finally watched the idra vods, he played pretty bad (great macro, awful micro) 3 roaches trapped by forcefields "omg I need to let my whole army hug the forcefields for 15 seconds to save them !§§§" Grrr, I hate when that happen. On metal, when he started massed roaches he had a very big window for attacking, too bad. And no burrow or burrow move hurt too.

Really impressed by Chinese Protoss players plays so far. Their gameplay is so refined/solid and mechanics very good too judging from replays. Can't wait to more released replays^^

No, but TH000 was in mousesports. Infi has been in World Elite for like forever.

Afaik that's just wrong. Moon, Grubby and Lyn were still on the very top when SC2 was released and they started playing it.You can't compare them to Boxer at all. Yeah Grubby and Lyn placed 2nd and 3rd in the most recent WCG so they were clearly still top tier players at the time of their switch. Moon, on the other hand, was good but no longer truly elite. Even so Moon isn't anywhere comparable to Boxer, who wasn't even in the kespa top 100 at any point in 2010. WC 3 near its end was basically a round robin between the top players - there were few new players post-2009 who could challenge the favorites. The Chinese player that consistently took down Moon is TH000, but he would generally lose to Remind, who would usually lose to Infi, who would typically lose to Lyn, who would regularly lose to Fly100 or TH000. Moon, in turn, tends to win against Grubby, who had a fair run against most of the top players but wasn't winning much towards the end of his career.
pretty sure you just made that up on the spot, I know infi was notorious for beating lyn.. Also moon doesnt win more than average vs grubby... maybe if you are talking like 2005 or something.
