This tournament started when I came home from work and it has been a BLAST!
I'v been loving it from the very first moment. Haven't done much more than drink tea and watch StarCraft II the entire day, with my 9 month old daughter.
When you compare this with MLG it stands out like a bright, shining star. Such a compact tournament with great games and incredibly high production value. Speaking swedish has been great as well, the interviews on the swedish stream have been great.
Seeing both MC and White-Ra making it to the finals in such glorious fashion hsa been a great ride, this will be an epic final.
IdrA showing his true face was quite satisfying, (and ClouD whining in this thread was on par with IdrA's cheese), even though he (IdrA) claims to despise it. He didn't keep his advantage and gave the game to MC, or rather MC did what he had to do and IdrA didn't take advantage of his clear advantage.
Seeing HuK lose is starting to become something I expect, I love the guy and regularly watch his stream, but he can't seem to bring his A-game when it is really needed.
The 2 stars of this tournament made it to the finals and they both deserve it. MC is the greatest player in the world right now, and is very entertaining to watch, both in game and off game.
Sweden's water is really tasty and of high quality. It is one of the things i miss the most when i'm not in Sweden.
White-Ra showing heart as always, screw the money, the community is where it's at.
This has been a great day for E-sports.

Seriously? Idra is the best player in the game, and a Zerg hero to most zerg. Incontrol is an average player and troll, Idra is a amazing player, but BM. EG likes the publicity, I am pretty sure of it.
Even though I think Idra should type a huge sentence before GGing about how much he respects MC and is honored to play him. Actually, I'm pretty sure EG paid to fly Idra over there and having your players just give up on tournaments like that just simply looks bad. Yes, Idra is their star player. But between giving up and 6-pooling here, quitting when confronted with Hallucinations vs HuK, and quitting super early vs Jinro (in the GSL I believe...Ro8?), I really think someone has to tell him to at least TRY. It's not like he has another game to rest up for. Sure, coming from behind as Zerg is not very common, but once in a while you get games like Fruitdealer in GSL 1. As for publicity, someone I think EG would prefer people talking about how great the games with Idra were. He's already done quite a lot in terms of negative publicity. That is all assuming the 6 pool was a complete throwaway. Idra 6 pool vs Jinro was calculated (was called before match started by artosis). I believe if MC scouts after Gateway (Idra might have scouted MC doign this in previous games), he loses. MC scouted after Pylon though, so he had enough time to hold it off. You guys are too hard on him because he is Idra, like other people have said, July 6 pools, FUCKING AMAAAZING. Boxer proxy banshee, AMAAAAAZING. Idra 6 pool, man he has given up.
Well, yes, I guess it is assuming the 6 pool was a throwaway. I remember the 6 pool against Jinro and thought at the time it was a really good idea (even though he lost). As far as I can remember everyone else thought it was a good idea at the time too. The difference was that he was playing against Jinro on Jungle Basin and, well, there's a reason that map has been taken out.
The July 6 pool was a metagame win because so many Protoss were fast expanding on that map. It was a blind counter, but July had pretty good odds of winning simply because it was so unexpected on Scrap Station.
So IMHO, July 6-pool on Scrap station? Pretty cool to see a Protoss FE thwarted. Idra 6-pool on Jungle Basin? Awesome! Nice to see him switch it up at least a little. Too bad he lost. Idra 6-pool on Xelnaga? Not a good idea. Not against someone who tends to scout early and tends to use more aggressive builds rather than greedy ones.

Go to youtube Search for marshmellows. Contuinue by clicking related. Serisouly though, this music is god aweful, I can't see any others reason that people like this than them being brainwashed by GOM... Or maybe it's just so bad it's fun. I dunno :s
I don't understand how people can listen to the god awful-ness of country music. Or metal/death metal music. Or the awfulness that is american pop music. Don't even get me started on how much I hate the Beatles and rolling stones and etc.... Kpop to me is better then most genres out there.
It's called an opinion

You're better off. Before SC i also listened to death metal, i have resisted the kpop and now listen to techno.

white ra has no chance , i am huge white ra fan, but just saying the truth, only way is that MC plays risky, to show something to the fans, or giving up like idra^^ just because white ra is soooo nice

He is absolutely awesome to listen to. Naturally funny! Plus he keeps the player interviews very fun to watch. Agreed, also he is a pro terran caster, something which we do not have to many of. [Gretorp and Painuser are still to enter the role] 2gd's SC2 experience goes as far as having tried Marine Wars. Possibly some of the campaign. I nkow terran's supposed to be easy but I don't think that qualifies him as a pro
I think he was thinking of Demuslim.

North America really needs BL:C players badly, in the EU we have about 1500 people online at peak times, the us barely gets a couple of hundred.
Even if you don't usually like these types of games you should check it out, its a shit ton of fun and rewards skill as opposed to RNG luck.

This is a really well run tourny here. Immediate interviews with the players. Kind of has a laid back vibe to it and the announcers are damn good. I'm enjoying this quite a bit.
Now come on White Ra! Time for revenge! Now they just need a 500 Megasekond connection! Happy Birthday btw
The DreamHack LAN has a 92 terrabit connection. It's pretty ridiculous lol.

It just comes off as ignorant.
It still has 40k viewers on a free HQ stream without any problems at all. Not even a little.

Liquid fighting . Ugh.

Sweden is doing this right. Hurrah! I want to get tickets and fly my ass over to Dreamhack this summer!
|
I can't praise this event enough
Dreamhack has really set a new standard for Starcraft 2 tournaments
|
If White-Ra upsets MC in the Bo5 final, Dreamhack will go down as one of the most epiccc tournaments :p
|
I feel like this so far has been one of the best sc2 or esports events to date, that might just be because im swedish, but it feels pretty insane. Props Dreamhack!
