wow, just wow. in the ro16, yeah, because it's been the only upset, and nada was only just a favourite anyway. been at least five bigger upsets counting the ro32. it's like people only bother to look at names and see who is more famous/who is a liquid player etc

Not if you're used to playing under lag, which you should be if you're participating in a tournament you know you will have high ping during.
I don't think the korean players play all the time with lag when they are laddering on Korean servers and participating in GSL. They rarely play online tournametns overseas.

Anyways, GG by Kas; he played quite well.
I think people are just so biased when it comes to this stuff.
NOBODY blamed lag when Haypro lost to Kas. So many people blame lag when Nada loses to Kas. It's just in your head, what your expectations are.
I think it's overplayed as well. Have you guys considered alternating servers kind of like they switch sides in sports? So first game's server is decided by a coin flip and then you go back and forth to make sure each player gets 1 or 2 games on his homefield server.
They do it for US-Korea but Korea-EU is unplayable so all games are played on NA to make it somewhat fair.

But the point is, they're not used to it. Whether they should be is irrelevant to the discussion of whether of not lag affects play.

which you should be if you're participating in a tournament you know you will have high ping during. If you want to win you better be used to it. NO excuses.

lag may have played a small role but it didnt seem a deciding factor at all. its not like you get supply blocked because of lag. or forget to build workers. or units. you get where im going. it was just sloppy play, with no excuses
that's not true at all
I know that, for me, lag completely throws off my game. Nothing feels right. I get supply blocked, mismicro, slip up on macro, and just generally make retarded decisions when there's a lot of lag.
Has been discussed before. It's up to the players to accustom themselves to possible delays... read Jinros thread. TL even offers the Koreans testaccounts to do so.
Also NaDa showed in his games vs TLO that he is perfectly capable of playing with delay... He just played horrible, the delay is not to blame.

Of course they don't but they could play on the NA server to prepare for the TSL matches no problemn.

Why do people not understand that Ukraine-NA (Shitty shitty internet) isnt much better than Kor-NA (little more distance, super fast internet) ? Kas is just better than nada. Everybody who followed him in the weekly cups could easily predict the result.
I think the Koreans will never participate in online events like this in the future. They can't micro and when they lost there's a bunch of noobs claiming that they are "inferior" to X,Y,Z lol despite the fact that they dominated every LAN event ever existed lol.

WTF What about me?
Chill edit! Adelscott > qxc 3-1 if qxc alters his style to suit adelscott maybe hell take it but i like this map pool for adelscott's style. kas > nada 3-1 i like kas in this matchup
I should start betting real money on TSL matches, LOL. I would be rich by now thanks to all the erroneous predictions and bets. :D People really need to pay more attention to the EU scene if they want to be accurate. With lag and all it was really obvious that Kas was going to take this if you knew the level of his play even a little bit.
