Btw does TSL make sure to tell all the players the changes on the maps? I mean they probably do, but it's so painful to see the players scouting positions that aren't possible.

It's what we've seen before in the TSL tho. None of them playing at the level they play in the GSL, which is a shame . No matter what the reason is, be it lag, not taking it seriously, it does kind of ruin the tournament.

We all wanted a good comparison between korea and the rest of the world, and we don't seem to be getting it.

We got a good comparison in the GSL world championships where the Koreans knocked out all foreigners in the round of 8.

Yep, morrow's ZvP, White-Ra's PvP, HuK's any matchup, Jinro's slump, Dimaga's ZvP and TT1's play is synonymous of the best foreigners have to offer.

That's a hell of a lot of excuses you've got there.

This is really REALLY weird... I'm not saying that Kas should not have won but Nada is way too good to make these kind of mistakes... I have a feeling that something is up...

This is not SC1.. Kas pretty much has roflstomped every terran out there.. follow the EU scene and you'll know why he did the same to Nada.

I figured kas would take this 3-0 Koreans are better but they haven't been focused on non Korean play as much as i think they should at this age in starcraft
I was the 5% that voted for thorzain in the TSL for round 1

Reading this thread just makes me think of that disclaimer I see on so many investing websites:

"Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results."

I'm honestly surprised so many people favored nada. Just looking through TLPD you can see Kas dominating TONS of tournaments that are particularly TvT heavy.

lol

Additional hype, perhaps? Consider that Kas is one of the top players in Europe and has shown dominating TvT this year. On the other hand, Nada is among the mid-tier of Code S players and his wins in TvT have been mostly off weak players

I'm sure it's been said before but this thread progresses too fast to keep track:

Unless lag/latency causes you to queue up 4 marines in your rax, I guess it's finally safe to assume that the best player won this series. People should begin to acknowledge the fact that you don't have to be korean to be good at a computer game. Especially not if you work your ass off as Kas apparently is.

Many people cannot understand how lag can affect the game play. They really need to try to play under 300ms lag before posting things like '' lag only affect micro, not macro and decision making''. I play 10 times worse when there is lag, because everything goes wrong.

Not if you're used to playing under lag, which you should be if you're participating in a tournament you know you will have high ping during.

Kas or Thorzain for sure

Not Thorzain. He showed some nice builds, but his opponents were underperforming. Thorzain didn't prove a lot in other tournies.

Favourites for me are MC, Kas and Naniwa.

i have a feeling naniwa wont make it, im calling goody while i still can.

I hate to do this but I have to blame the lag. Has ANYONE seen NaDa play THIS TERRIBLY in Korea? I mean multiple supply blocks, a million queues, low worker counts, etc. Sure, he made some unproductive decisions (i.e. banshee on Crevasse), but overall, its seems like Nada is playing with such sloppiness. Anyways, GG by Kas; he played quite well.

I think people are just so biased when it comes to this stuff.

NOBODY blamed lag when Haypro lost to Kas. So many people blame lag when Nada loses to Kas. It's just in your head, what your expectations are.

I think it's overplayed as well. Have you guys considered alternating servers kind of like how they switch sides in sports? So first game's server is decided by a coin flip and then you go back and forth to make sure each player gets 1 or 2 games on his homefield server.

I'm not a big fan of excuses, but I have to agree.
I think Dimaga showed that the foreigners can compete when they play their absolute best.

Goto say the qxc v Ascot game was very good and interesting, the nada nas one not so much kas played very well but I think the lag messed with nada's micro/play abit to much.
