And that, my friends, is how we get a pedobear reference into a SC2 LR thread. Well played everyone. /thread

Its not like this scale of bandwidth usage is immeasurably big, it pales in comparison to any major corporate website. Hell if location was an issue, they should setup a stable server somewhere in the US, upload streams there then use that location as their server base. I can only imagine that they have everything running directly to the venue and that they probably didn't invest in an architected solution. With the amount of viewership they have and the fact that connectivity is their major crux, this should be a no brainer. At the very least, someone needs to tell the MLG head that they need to hire someone who actually knows how to run a business When Sundance (CEO of MLG) was on State of the Game and they got to the topic about streaming it was funny to hear him talk about renting satellite trucks in order to have a higher quality stream. This was several months ago so one can only hope that he talked to someone that actually had one iota of a clue but from this weeks performance it seems like he didn't and everyone suffers for it. All they literally have to do is partner up with justin.tv or own3d.tv or ustream and they would be fine. I honestly don't know why they haven't.
