Man July was on fire today, but props to all the foreign players, taking it to 8-7 really showing that we can compete with the Koreans

I honestly think you couldn't really have a better TEAM from around the world than the one that is in Korea.. Such a good range of styles etc.. You couldn't find a group that blends better than these guys.

Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know much.

Of course there are individuals who may be 'better' in a solo event. But as a team, these guys have shown true character and I don't think any group of people could do better as a team than these guys.

Congrats to them all.

Yeh maybe I am a little biased, but really, they are awesome.. <3

Kas ok
BUT GOODY???
He's not that good man...
edit: How about Kas and sjow or sth

huk and moonglade represent their regions so no goody or kas instead, what you sugest, europe vs korea?

makes sense considering Europeans are the only good foreigners

So some kind of showmatches between Korea and Europe sounds great, but this is a World championship so it has to be this way. Players from all regions suposed to be here regardless of their skill. Like in every other sport.

A world championship usually don't have a team representing the world.

Well this was a showmatch no a WC, calling players instead the ones who actualy participate in WC would be rather stupid, dont u think?

Lol, you called it a world championship in your post... Are you arguing against yourself? (not really sure what you were trying to say here?)

I didnt call it that way, GOM did, and afaik WC starts tomorrow, today was a showmatch of people who participate in WC. If people really want only koreans and europeans than its not quite a WORLD championship, right?

I love that there are still diehard Korea fanboys who hate to be wrong so much that they're claiming that anything can happen in a Bo1.

Despite the fact that it was a Bo15.

It is a BO15 with each player playing a BO1 with another. Like everyone is saying here, good players were getting sniped left and right. Do I think MC could beat White-Ra in a BO3 or BO5? Surely yes. At the same time, do I think White-Ra could beat July in a BO3 or BO5? Definitely yes as well. Today's games definitely showed Non-Americans play this game very well (lol). At the same time, I wonder how this would be entirely different though if it was a much longer more drawn out tournament where sniping tactics aren't as "powerful".

Take the MVP vs Dimaga game. Most people would have said that MVP had game one. Dimaga obviously had game two, who would have won the series if it was a BO3? BO5? Longer series show a players ability to adapt. Like how MMA sniped MC. Do I think MMA would be able to take a BO3 or BO5 from MC? I doubt it. But MMA showed he's a great BO1 player and possibly a great player overall though.

I think the best example is: If the GSL Finals Season 2 was a BO3, NesTea would have lost to MKP. Because it was BO5 though, NesTea was able to adapt, and learn to defend it, where MKP lost because he didn't know how to adopt or play a different style.

I just got done watching the Dimaga vs MVP game disconnect game.......we were fucking robbed of a fantastic game. Can't believe it had to happen in that game, could've been the best game of the day.

I'd still say it was a great game even if it didn't have a conclusion.

It's a joke because Artosis once mistakely called it Team America or something of that sort yesterday, probably remembering nation wars from brood war.

That it was, but a game that epic needs to have an ending. Its like reading a great book only to discover the pages on the last two chapters are all blank.

Also i just want to make a point, WhiteRa took one map and DIMAGA two and suddenly all the Europeans are saying "EU is the only good foreign region", "Everywhere else is bad", "True showmatch should be KOR vs EUR"

This is after only 3 games, people forget so quickly how awesome the EU players went @ IEM, oh hang on a second 1 European out of 6 made it to the final 6 of a 12 man tournament and he didn't take a map vs KOR then or here.....EU is so good everywhere else is terrible

People say that the US think they are so much better than everyone at everything but in Sc2 tbh it's been more Europeans who seem to think they are all fucking boss ^_^

Rant done now

Team Zerg Fighting!

I still don't understand why IdrA says July is terrible... July seems to me to be a very complete player, more unpredictable than most zergs (even IdrA used July's timing for Hydra drop at TSL, which actually Cruncher claimed to expect it).

It would be amazing to see LosirA getting into Korea's Team next time.
