MKP is still very talented and easily top5 in the world when he's in form. Anyway you will see tomorrow! MKP's unit control is slightly better, but MVP is superior in every other aspect IMO.
Yep. But he's young. Give him time yet. In a few years he'd be a monster.

dont hate on the moonglade, i think what happened is he expected july to open speedling or some kind of a cheese build and went for 14/14 banes himself, july went for an expo with roaches, its pretty much an autoloss at that point. He took a risk and it didnt pay off. That baneling opening is an allin build pretty much when the opponent goes for an expo

Kind of off topic, but people keep bringing up how MVP would have lost his game against Ryung had he not been caught off-guard or the patch came out... It's important to keep in mind that MVP was aiming to get Battlecruisers the entire game, which is why he started air upgrades early, and why he was losing the ground war so badly.
My personal top 8 Korean team: MC Alicia Losira July NesTea MVP (Ryung / MMA / MarineKing / Bomber), any two

I do think people are underrating SuperNova here. He did almost beat LosirA, and he won the recent FXOpen. I'd probably have SuperNova as a strong contendor for the last spot as well.

So, everyone except for July managed to hide their primary strategies. That sucks for the world players so immensely that it cannot be overexaggerated
The REAL championship will unveil itself tomorrow! WhiteRa and Dimaga better not get relaxed as stakes considerably rise and Koreans still have most of their aces under sleeves.

word probably bomber or mkp instead of ace Ace doesn't impress me all that much TBH. I'd throw Bomber or Ryung in Ace's place. Unless Bomber was suffering from a serious case of nerves when Ryung played him, Bomber looked COMPLETELY outclassed by Ryung. I don't think that it was nerves. Bomber pulled out an INSANELY epic base race against MMA the match before, and Ryung came in and just crushed his soul. Maybe Bomber was tired? Either way, Ryung is SO impressive. If Mvp didn't surprise him with BC's, that game was Ryung's to win. MVP had to cut a lot of tanks to get to BCs quicker, so it may have seem like Ryung was winning, but MVP planned had it planned out from the start.
Ryung won most of the engagements irregardless of his bigger army (just better positioning and timings). From my perspective, Ryung outplayed Mvp even with a bigger army from Mvp cutting production. The BC's took it over the top, but I don't think Mvp would have won that game even if he wanted to go toe to toe with Ryung tank battles. Just pure speculation of course, but what Mvp showed against MMA I think points to a few weaknesses (mainly strategical). Either way, all three are about equal in skill I think.

A friend of mine pointed that out. He was like "Well, it looks like July is the sacrifice for Korea's honor. He's showing his actual important strategies before the main tournament to pull out wins."

Whoa this is really interesting, the 3 of the 4 players that failed to get a single win on the all stars side have been playing in Korea full time (huk moonglade jinro). Do you think that the other foreigners were at an advantage because their play style was somewhat unknown to the Koreans ?

That could definitely factor into what we saw today. I'm pretty sure MVP was pretty surprised by Dimaga's heavy infestor play, and MC surprised by WhiteRa's warp prism play. On the other hand, July seemed to know Huk and Jinro's playstyles pretty well, and exploited that knowledge beautifully.

Ryung's TvT and TvP are both extremely solid, and Min is just a macro monster with a good head for strategy. Both just qualified for Code A, btw. I don't think half of the guys on this list could do that (although, a good amount of luck is involved due to the inherent volatility of the game). :D I call a troll on this one... Nope...stop looking at results and look at his playstyle. It's not sustainable, and unless he evolves, who knows? You honestly think I'm trolling when I just typed two paragraphs on WHY a couple of other Koreans have impressed me further? How about looking past one sentence? Edit: this is not an appeal to authority, but many other progamers have criticized July as well. They must all be jealous and/or trolling? His playstyle isn't sustainable? He's played like this for years. And idra =/= many progamers. He's just one angry zerg that dislikes every style but his own
BW and this game are two different beasts. In BW, July's mechanics provided the edge that he needed to overpower opponents with aggression (for crappier mechanics in July's predecessor, Yellow, we see the difference - same style, different results in an easier era). In this game, you can't overpower people with superior mechanics, and when strategy is all that's left, no it's not sustainable. I love July, don't get me wrong. I was arguing with some other dude who thought July plays like garbage the other day, and got temp banned for calling him a troll, and now, I'm doing the opposite. :D
Tyler, Incontrol, and a few Koreans I've read on playxp have criticized him as well. It's not just Mr. Fields.

People have been saying the same thing ever since he started winning. Not sure how July can prove his doubters wrong really.
Nothing much, he just has to turn into Idra, snailing it out into mega untouchable P or T balls.

No MKP for sure. With larger maps and the new patch his signature style is officially outdated. In the current mappool and metagame he's definitely a step below the other elite terrans. I'd leave out Ryung also simply because he's relatively more untested in non TvT's compared to the other 2.

He's July, though. He's had the same style for years and people haven't figured it out yet. Or people have figured it out but still lose to it.
