That's true, but lag is lag. That's a different condition than usual practice for both players, and the one who trained with this condition will be better than the other (unless the lag is like one second or something ridiculous)
I guess the lag for europe to usa is like 200ms and from kor to usa like 250-350ms. Si it's very manageable lag (I know, I had a poor ADSL connection 6 months ago and had 300ms lag playing stacraft, it took me like 10 games to assimilate it)

If Terran techs to banshees, you're ahead with a cannon
If Terran is Tank rushing, you have warpgate units.
Basically, on even terms, you would've had to do 1 most likely.
