I feel that if Ret would have just done an all in with his roach backdoor atack instead of taking the hatch again, he would have won. Hes just not an all in kinda player.

How often does being super greedy actually work out for zergs against good opponents? Seems to to me 90% of the time a zerg loses it's cause they have been making only drones and then suddenly they are like "Oh shit my opponent has an army 20 minutes into the game? How should I have predicted this?" *dies*

Well I guess it is the strategy that works best for him, don't you think? Otherwise he would have done something else.

and I thought the GSL this year was full of upsets.... lol

I don't get the MVP one. Protoss is his worst match up and kept him in code A. Adel is a top protoss.

Anyway I'm 3/4 cuz I bet right there.

I really hope Goody wins, he's a lot of fun to watch. It's gonna come down to how well Nestea controls his infestors, fungal on the vikings is key to win against Mr. Tank.

So I got Genius wrong, QXC is better no question, but for some reason I thought the korean would just proxy or 4gate all games successfully.

Tomorrow is looking amazing :D

So you voted Adel and Goody because they're better than MVP and Nestea and now you think qxc "is better no question"? Go back to dota man.

No.. I said QXC is better then genius. I voted against MVP and nestea because they have been awful in the GSL.

Just checked my liquibets... sure enough, 0 of 4 today. Not feeling confident about picking Idra and Mondragon tomorrow either!

Why didn't Ret use new infestors against nani? it would have destroyed the stalker/immortal composition.

naniwa has always been beastly, not sure why people are claiming he was the underdog in those games. ret might be slightly better than him but it was still fairly evenly matched imo.

Ret will only get better. You can see he has godly mechanics. The strategy will come in time.
Lee Jae Dong proved that a focus on mechanics and execution could solve problems in the StarCraft game strategy.

Last game was hardly an upset.

I went 3/4 on my liquidbet tonight. Only missed on qxc's game, he has obviously improved by playing in europe.

You are somehow proud you called goody vs nestea, fluke of the century. Go watch some of Goody's matches on gosugamers, and then come back and seriously tell me he is at half the level nestea is.

What? How is he proud for one, and two, whaaaaaat? I also "called" GoOdy over NesTea because I'm smart

No that is called luck, Goody would lose first round in Code A 9 out of 10 times.

You seriously underestimate him. As most of his opponents do if they have never played him before.

I bet on Adel and Goody because they have unique styles and I expected the koreans not to be prepared for it.

What the fuck?

I think he means that QXC was much better than he had expected after his IEM performance. The games werent that surprising though since all of QXC fans know he is the king of EMPs.
As soon as I learn to control group my army I can get to masters with the coveted 1a strategy I've heard so much about!

Just like MiStrZZZ in the good old Broodwar days *rolleyes*

In my opinion, it's because of good intuition, as Ret was always pretty far forward with his roaches in that game, except at the exact moment, where Ret's his roaches stayed out of his vision for more than a minute. And it was the only part of the map that he couldn't see, except Ret's bases and the top.

And it's not like he kept all of his army at the back of his base waiting, he kept a small group of units defending his base, running from his main entrance to the back door...

Edit: added some punctuation, it was exhausting to read...
