Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't. |

Same with Grubby.
edit: to clarify, the only player invited so far without a tournament win under his belt is Moon, and his second place at the IEM WC put him far above Artosis/Grubby in that regard. All players invited so far also have an ELO rating at the TLPD. Artosis/Grubby don't. Lol are you serious? Invites such as machine axslav etc pretty much prove that results and talent are not the primary motivation for invites. If that was their only concern we would have a very different player list. Not saying its a bad thing either, but yeah, obviously being close to in control and eg is beneficial in this regard...
That is not fair.. axlav and machine are clearly top20 NA and considering they will have about 20 NA players they deserve it..

So far if it goes at this pace, the 5 korean rule will have unintentionnaly (or intentionally) been enacted. I hope to see at least 6 more Koreans on the radar

I can almost guarantee sheth doing good in the NASL. I'd say he is the 2nd best NA zerg behind only idra.

They got rid of that rule i think, just like the 5 player limit per team. we will probably see 7+ koreans.

They did get rid of that rule, doesn't mean there still won't only be a handful of Koreans... lol

No top Koreans invited yet though.

Same with Grubby. Its just a really really bad idea to not include players who draw in viewers like grubby and artosis will. Im not really interested in watching any of the games from division 2+3 Hey, don't argue with me, take it up with the hardliners on the other end who only want the best of the best players (in their opinion, obviously). :p
I kinda want to see the two groups fuck with each other instead of both of them compaining to the NASL in turns. :lol :lol

in what way are they clearly top 20 in NA? just curious what your basing this on since ive barely heard anything out of machine in months
baring in mind neither were anywhere close to qualifying for tsl

Axslav is Top 10 NA, Machine barely outside the Top 20. If we cross-reference this with the list of applicants, they're both safely in the Top 20.

All players invited so far also have an ELO rating at the TLPD. Artosis/Grubby don't. Artosis could handle himself just fine against the players announced so far. And judging by the picks they aren't just gonna pick based on results otherwise it would be all champions of tourneys and no room for anyone who wouldn't normally get a shot. I'm not sure what you're trying to say with this. As I said in the very post you quoted, 24 of the 25 players chosen so far are tournament champions.
And most of them have won several.
edit: actually, if we're just going based on tournament wins, most of the Koreans who applied are bad choices, as only very few of them have won a tournament before.

I'm a bit sad about no top koreans so far in NASL but they might be coming. Lots of good players so far anyway.

Well, you (and I) are Europeans, so the IGN league makers probably don't give a shit about us watching/not watching. They're making an NA tournament for the NA audience. And that's fine. Start out in one market, succeed, then think about expanding. DjWheat made a great post in the IGN tournament thread about other enterprises/leagues biting off more than they could chew in the past and explaining why frugal business decisions are sometimes necessary.
NASL is immediately going with the big picture, they're not playing it safe, they're going all out pushing for a big league with big players from all regions. And I applaud and support them for that. I want to see them succeed, that's not a secret. :D

At least they don't need to worry about cross-realm lag issues. :o
