[NASL] Players (final) - Page 19
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

I dont wanna spoil any surprises This is a funny statement because there's no way to please everyone. Some people want Artosis (this guy) and some people want 50 Koreans. I appreciate the sentiment though.

TBH I would swap Cruncher for KawaiiRice if the choice had to be made. I don't see KawaiiRice beating the majority of his group whereas Cruncher has some very strong builds and such and I think it will be interesting to see a player who is known for some strong 4 gate builds playing. I was scared for a moment that players like Trump and Shew although skilled would take place of deserving Europeans and as of yet I am impressed.

Moon - top WC3 player, did very well at IEM Fenix - Made TSL3, pretty strong Terran IMO Kiwi - top protoss in NA quite possibly QXC - dude is a beast, just needs to make sure to get practice time in which I imagine he will. Before he went to Europe for school he hit the top of the NA ladder I believe. DarkForce - one of Europe's top Zerg's Cruncher - In TSL3, been owning "The V", has been on top of NA ladder I believe KawaiiRice - Very good NA Terran, solid builds and I think he keeps getting better Haypro - Who on TL doesn't belong in this, seriously. Just won the Pax East posting wins over Tyler and TLO Naniwa - top Euro protoss, definitely belongs. He has been playing really well as of late too SeleCT - top NA Terran, obvious choice HasuObs - been really impressed with his play lately, just took down Huk too Catz - a lot of people seem to be questioning this, but he is a very talented and creative Zerg player. Mass queens in the NASL? Yes please. Also a fan favorite Idra - one of the best Zergs in the world, obvious choice Socke - great protoss from Europe, always impressed with his play ClouD - has been posting some very nice results as of late. Not as familiar with him, but can't argue with what he's been doing lately. To me the obvious choices were: Idra, Socke, SeleCT, HasuObs, Haypro, Naniwa, QXC, Moon, and Kiwi. The rest are still really good choices that will give us some great games and definitely hold their own. I am also really happy with that list =) Only thing i might complain about is one one Korean, i would probably replace Cruncher with a high-profile Korean. But impossible to say before we get the full list. Not really sure about Darkforce, not seen much of him but might be me missing him. hope he was not invited to fill foreigner zerg quota :p

Either way, we are happy with the list we have and believe that the league will be amazing! :D! any chance to incorporate the idea of some other poster in the thread of creating a page for each player, their achievement and main reason he was picked ? that would be very cool

#1 NASL site is awefull - when i reached it i went back to google and looked for other hits cause i couldnt belive this is really a site , after avilio being Number 1 in votes i refuse to go back there. i did better job at a site for UT clan 5 years ago. i would like to see a proffesional site by a decent designer for a tournament with 400k prize , dont underestimate the package . if thats not possible a forum in TL like TSL would be much better then the current solution. if thats not possible a blogpost / worldpress site would be better. #2 the announcment of the players - seriously ? i really appreciate the dramma with the revealing , but if you do it do it correctly. a very good example of doing it right is TSL , the players , their background and reasons they were choosen - just the names is not good enough ... and better just skip this then doing it half assed. pictures videos or even just use incontrol hype talent with voice announcments would be a very welcome addition. transparency will go very long way with the croud , if you see again TSL with the award winning decision of boxer , thats the right way of doing things - and look how that hard decision recieved. explain your decisions. #3 the players revealed - i believe nasl saving the best to last , i dont agree with that . you need people to be excited from the start - keep the revealed group ballanced. #4 the players choices - there was a 100 page + thread about it somewhere with a nice pole. i think its fair to say the vast majority will be very disapointed with only a few medicore koreans allowed , i will not go there for redundency , just look at the 50k+ viewers on korea vs world matches in TSL. TL , DR its just very important to keep the production value for everything you do , and not only the main part , look at successfull companys like blizzard or apple and their finish on their product , the pre show is very important , i do hope that the NASL will show improvment on thier preshow look on TSL again for a good example thank you for the long read, and goolduck with the really nice project.

Agree with all of that. I'm looking for reasons to believe the guys at NASL actually know what they're doing but so far I haven't seen anything.
