Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't. |

but cant get everything, lets just say ill avoid the Incontrol/MoMan match and the Vibe matches cause really i know nothing about any of these players as players. incontrol i know from his personality on SoTG which i love but as a player, no..
artosis i am fine with cause i was always a Media fan in brood war. but so far im fine with 90-93 percent of the players in the league and i guess looking over the list again, it seems fine. cant get everything but would have perhaps preferred maybe 5 more koreans, especially i want to know the reason of why Ensnare was chosen over a GSL winner..
xeris any reason of why fruitdealer wasn't in this?
isn that the biggest accomplishment a player can get.. 1st place in GSL

Is there an ETA for this? On liquipedia there is only the year of the tourney, not the months or anything else >/

As i said im sick of how i get threated .. i can take visa like NO PROBLEM , u didnt even bother to ask me or tell me about the visa , u only told me about the visa after i asked if im invited .. thats just pathetic and desgusting , when i have apply for the NASL u could have told me about the visa and by now i would already have had apply for it and take it . Romania is part of the european nations and so i would have not even 1 problem in taking the visa . Very profesional tho very... and the answer is even more profesional .. kind agree with NightEnD...how can you assume and decide something without even discussing with the actual player, NASL is very unprofessional in my eyes. If you look up, Xeris has a post that implies they did communicate. And imo, this makes them more professional, not less, if that's really what you want. If you apply to a job and you can't provide something the job requires or show up late, it'd be more professional for them to reject you. There's no way you show up for a professional job like that, and if you want gaming to be a professional job, well... In any case, I'm glad to see that most people have stopped whining. There were like 10% of players that most people were whining about, which means ~1% of games have players that they don't like. Quite irritating... Are u kidding me ???? He didnt told me i need to prove that i can take visa or take visa he only told me AFTER i repeat AFTER i asked him if im invited that no im not becouse THEY ASSUMED I CANT TAKE VISA .... where do u see the profesioanlism ?

I was quite skeptical before but now I have to say I'm quite happy with the overall lineup. Of course there are some players I would have preferred over others but that always happens, there are just so many good players.

I can only say that the answer is rly good and after i saw grubby is invited as P i checked here ( http://www.dragon-league.com/en/matches/ranking ) and i can totaly agree with the decision and in general the invites are superb GG very pro . ps im getting sick of how i always get treated The way NASL handled it was quite bad, I feel bad for you but you shouldn't disrespect Grubby. They said they've taken popularity to account when making the decisions and guess what, Grubby is one popular guy. Feel a bit bad for Demuslim aswell, especially how they blame it on the video. Oh well, hopefully we'll see more of Demuslim in other tournaments, I've missed him.
To be fair to NightEnD, he is one of the only major players in Romania and they have a decent sized community that come on here. He'd draw the viewers in for them in the same way that DeMusliM would have. Because he's the only representation England have. And he's way better and results to prove this than a couple of players that have been picked over him.
It's not the decisions people are raging about the most, it's the reasons behind them. As if it should be a bloody popularity contest ffs. It's Starcraft.
I guess the saying is true, it's not what you know, it's who you know that counts.

So if someone invites you and your friends to a show, and when the show begins they ask for tickets (not knowing you need one) and say you cant enter since you didnt buy one, does it sound fair ?

Minigun/DeMuslim, sucks it didnt work out for you guys but i have no doubt that you guys can make it in.
Nightend- complaining and making NASL look bad here wont help you. They can not change their choices, so you wil lget nothing by complaining. Either PM argue with xeris or man up like the minigun and demuslim and accept it, and practice hard for the tournies.
When you practice non stop and have your heart poured into it you can complain, I'm sure Minigun and Demuslim feel the same way but they just accepted that they didnt get invited. I feel bad for Nightend since I would have loved to see him play.

If you didn't get invited to the NASL... I'm going to say it right now, its 100% you or your managers fault.
1) Did you not get in because of the application process? Why is this your fault? Because YOU or YOUR manager did NOT ask questions. It is NOT the NASL's responsibility for YOU to get in your correct application and any other doccumentation. Just like ANY OTHER JOB EVER, you have to be prepared. If they ask you for something, and you don't already have it... well too bad, its your fault.
With the NASL, you KNEW you would have to fly to the USA to play games for money if you were in the top 16... So guess what that means, YOU KNEW YOU NEEDED A VISA. Why did you not just go get one? I mean the NASL isn't going to hold your hand, there were over 100 applications, over 100 other people to pick from.
2) Did you not get in because of your application video? Well, thats 100% your fault to. You application video was like a job application, it showed who you were. Any weaknesses you showed, would reflect poorly on them choosing you. Any video should of shown your strengths (look at Tyler and MoMaN being able to insite the croud through a video) and play down your weaknesses (DeMuSliM's Cast). If you didn't sell your self well enough... then you should of made a better video.
3) Did you not get in because of your resent showings in tournaments? Well... this means you need to practice more and win more. NASL wanted the best players they could get. There are TONNES of online tournaments to play in to show your skills and guess what... ViBe and dde got in because of these tournaments. Maybe you should of played some of them instead of continuously losing vs big names in big tournaments that don't happen every day.

These were the three reasons people didn't get in, and every one of them was the player or manager's fault. You can get angry at the NASL but it will do nothing. They aren't here to hold your hand, just like if you don't get a job because you messed up the interview or application process... its the same thing here, so stop QQ'ing.
(this is directed at players and fans a like, and was not meant to single out players, even though it does... and I apologize for being slightly rude, but I needed to get my points across. You are much more talented at SC2 than I am, but you made a mistake, so just man up.)

I'm a bit surprised that the NASL didn't just contact Demu after the application to get a frank assessment of whether he would be able to play, rather than concluding he wouldn't based on the video (particularly given the ties to EG they have too).
There's only a couple of Terrans in there on Demu's level, and as a UK fan he was going to be one of the reasons I was interested in things
oh well, next time maybe =)

Are you really going to remove guys like incontrol/grubby/boxer when they show that they can't compete? I have nothing against these guys, but they really haven't shown us much yet.
|
lol at the reason for not picking demuslim... he could probably beat half these players even with just 1 arm and no practice
|
Lots of negativity, that's to be expected, but now that the final lineup is announced, I have to say I'm EXTREMELY excited to watch this. You guys have put together a great set of players and I'm sure we'll see great games nightly because of this. Thanks so much for putting it together and I only hope you get the success this deserves and the quality only goes up from here!

He has been hunting for a strong tourny finish for a long time, but it just doesnt seem to happen for him. I wouldnt consider him a top player, but certently at the level of the other average american players that got invites. And its the North American sc league, so its only reasonable to invite a decent ammount of americans even though they might not be on the same level as europe / korea at the moment.

50 out of the top sc2 players in the world will be in a tournament, with the top 16 of the 50 finishing it all off with a lan tournament.
How can I complain about that?

@TheGrimace
It seems much like the lineup of GSL, but with inferior players such as incontrol etc added in, heh.

thats a stacked list man, cant wait for this to start.
