I mean, WHERE THE FUCKIGN HELL IS HE?!!?!
Fanboyism aside, if NASL is supposed to appeal to a broad range of people, it's nice and all to have ex-WC3-Master Moon, but imagine the good stuff that'd go on with NaDa in the league. Seriously

Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

How the fuck do you make some of these invites I can think of better protosses then Dan, or *gasp* incontrol. half of these dudes couldnt make it passed the 1024 man open qualifier. More then half even. It sucks, and kinda embarrassing that the first North American "starleague" is like this. the second/third season will be better when it has good players who deserve to be there.

I'm so happy Artosis got selected!!! Hopefully there are a few more Koreans who will be selected + available to compete in this. I guess if there is a potential conflict with GSL that would discourage NASL to pick players (a no-show in the RO16 due to GSL would be pretty bad PR for everyone involved), and players to be willing to accept NASL offers. That said, its shaping up to be a really fun league. I feel that the quality of players is lower than TSL and GSL but it will be a ton of fun to watch nonetheless.

Its just that the NASL is being done in a really weird way. No long term. Just 3 seasons of a popularity contest. I don't think any of the EG guys except idra deserve a invite

That being said... considering what NASL is trying to do by getting people with personality, rivalries, public votes, and most importantly, popularity. I was be extremely surprised if both SlayerS_BoxerR and NaDa weren't two of the last 10 names to be announced. To me it sounds like they both fit the NASL mold perfectly. ![]()

ViBE dde Sheth MoMaN incontroL I am getting very worried about the direction this league is going. But there is still light at the end of the tunnel. There's still hope in that this might all be just an april fools joke.

I don't think any of the EG guys except idra deserve a invite I think both iNcontroL and Machine are in the Top 16 of the MLG standings, along with IdrA. (The top 16 got seeded spots for the 2011 MLG season, so there is a public list that's out there.) I think you could make an argument for any of those 16 players to get invited into "the NASL 50." I don't know much about Axslav or some of the other EG guys, but iNcontroL and Machine have arguments to be made. This is an NA league after all and MLG standings should count for something. ![]()

Why not give those you deem "unworthy" a chance? Maybe they'll surprise you. But fuck, even if you want to be a whiner and do not want under any circumstances watch players like vibe, catz, dde, grubby or artosis, I've got good news for you. Since NASL is a league format with 275 games, it should be fairly easy to leave out the 30 (or 50, or 100) games that are played between players you don't like and which don't excite you. With the massive amount of content NASL is going to stream, you're going to have to pick and choose what you watch anyway. And if that doesn't convince you to watch NASL, fuck - if they really are so bad as some of you claim, they'll be gone after a season anyway. (But don't be surprised when the players you thought bad post good results - because every single fucking player in the lineup announced so far is fully capable of holding his own.)

Let them show you what they can do. If they truly don't belong they will be in the bottom 16 and have to re-qualify. But we're only talking about 5-7 players.....so another 9-11 players everyone thinks "derseved" to be selected will have to re-qualify as well.

But you are right, the critcism is indeed overblown. An overrepresentation of NA players and some favoritism was to be expected anyway. Some questionable invites (maybe like 5-10) dont make this "unwatchable". The hyperbole frome some in that regard is just ridiculous. This is still the best tournament in the Western scene. That being said, it is still legit to call out favoritism and bad decisions when one sees them. Some pressure from the "street" is necessary sometimes, so that this stuff is at leats not overdone. ![]()
