That was clearly the correct counter, instead of using aggression to push back against Jinro's econ-heavy openings. If your opponent is better than you, as is the case of Jinro being better than MorroW, you have to do something that makes your opponent step outside his comfort zone. You have to make him step sideways and adapt to you, instead of letting him set up his gameplan and roll over you. If you wanted to win a game against a superior opponent, you would have done the same thing. It's strategy 101.
take a quick third and more drones instead of making 50 lings and banelings? Thats what he should have done instead of playing like a all in newb
Are you saying JulyZerg is a newb? This is exactly what July did. You do what it take to win and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Are you gonna call JulyZerg a newb too?
One note for TL though. Please ban all the players account on TL during the LIVE. Someone mentioned that they saw MORROW reading comment in this thread(after game 1) Its kind of spoile the result for me since pretty much that hes reading comment because he won.
Jinro played too greedy in game 3. He assumed morrow would play a macro game. Jinro lost it was a fair game if jinro had gotten siege tanks instead of medivacs maybe he could have defended but he didnt. Gg, gl jinro in gsl. GL morrow in TSL

people really should not be complaining about what Morrow did. his baneling busts were in response to what Jinro was doing.
stop saying it was a "response". he tried to baneling bust all 3 game. cc first? yeah baneling bust. 2 rax opening? yeah baneling bust.
Quick siege tanks obviously shut down busts but then a good zerg will just get way ahead in those positions on that map. They can just drone up, take another base and muta harass all day. Maybe getting some hellions would've been a smarter choice instead of rushing for medivacs but I don't pretend to know what was going through Jinro's head during the game. Sad to see him go out like this but I guess MorroW deserves his kudos for exploiting Jinro's style.
Well ... i guess one can say banelings are pretty strong Really who sais zerg need to play passive. But its a real pity that stim pack was disrupted 2 times just before finishing and that Jinro didnt throw up the Bunker early the first time (if he had that up it might have changed the whole thing quite a bit)

Those games were exciting as hell, and I was indeed surprised that MorroW was able to pull out a win against Jinro, who I had predicted would win the whole tournament. Great games, can't wait till next week!
This. QFT!
Jinro loses - People say he is not playing at his level. What f***** level is that in your opinion. Your team is hosting the most competitive tournament in the history of SC2 worth 15K $. There is no level to play at. He was playing at his best and was beaten by a player who just outplayed him over the course of 3 games.
Mechanically and technically, Jinro might be the better player. But in those three games, Morrow out-thought Jinro and deserved to win. Does not matter what tactics or strategy you use, ultimately Morrow is in the RO32 and Jinro is not and that is all that matters in the end.
Completely agree. Jinro may be a better overall player, but Morrow outplayed him here and 100% deserved the wins. And like Husky said, Morrow and Hasu can laugh at the haters all the way into the next round
