I do understand the major issue of potential cheating, but think that the top 32 playing in such a tournament should be trusted to a bigger amount, even though I acknowledge that TL has made a bad experience regarding this.
I know that there are many people who think otherwise, but also a lot of people sharing my point of view: Replaycasts are plain boring. Seeing something that happened some random time in the past is something totally different than seeing it live and emphazising with the players, which is totally impossible when seeing it in the knowledge of "it's just a replay.". For a good, tense game, I want to feel with my stars and not just think "I wonder how he feels right now about the game he played yesterday", come on...
I guess that's cool. If you really want to "feel your stars," let's play the game live. Let's wake up Boxer at 6 in the morning and have him play his Ro32 matches. That will make for great games. And I didn't even bring up Nightend yet. It's not just a matter about preventing cheating, but letting them play at their convenience so that they can play their best games.

Hats off to everyone involved in running this!

What on earth does what's happening in Japan have to do with the latency of Korean vs European/American players?

Nice tournament.
To my own surprise i correctly predicted every result so far. FD is just looking so weak lately, terrible macro from him and his play just seems uninspired. Perhaps all the other players have caught up wit him but it just seems like he isnt good anymore, not even code A level..

Many people reported the latency between NA and Korea going through the roof after the earthquake. Not sure if it's better now though. It's also possible these games were played before the disaster. I'm pretty sure Morrow played before, at least he played on the TSL maps.

Seeds get the latency. This was told on State of the Game Podcast. My guess was the FD was seeded above Thorzain and still played badly and lost.

It would be just cruel to have these casted live, the cheating part aside, think about it:
FD gets up at 3am, warms up, starts playing at 4am TZ plays during prime time, has to drop off any other tournaments happening in the weekend. Artosis would never cast
Vulnerability to delays and early disconnects, eventually running out of time and stressing the players of the following matches. Casters also get tired.

Please tell me the replays are getting released for this! T_T

FD had noticeable lag, no need to talk about that. But he also didn't play well at all. His macro was.. garbage to say the least. I can macro better than that. I dunno what' sup with him, isn't he playing anymore?

Did you see him play Virus in the up/down matches? You think he's not Code A level just because of his TSL performance? Come on man!
FD fighting!! So sad he lost

Very smooth stream, high production value, good casting. The games themselves were okay (some of them), the most hyped match was by far the worst... very boring actually.
Seeing that both boxer and fd commented on the lag, I think inviting players from the KR server was a bad idea. It just makes them look bad.

Wow, this is not my year. Not only is my march madness bracket blown to pieces but so is my TSL bracket

Yeah I totally agree. I don't understand the people that demand live casts when you have a tournament with players from so many different time zones. Sure it's more fun with everything being live but I think it's perfectly understandable for a lot of reasons that they are doing it the way the are.

Do you think if FD had won he would have mentioned the lag?

He also said the lat is alterned between each game, so game 1 the highest seed got the lat, game 2 the other and game 3 go back the the highest seed

What many people don't realize, yourself included, is that the internet across oceans is primarily handled through undersea cables and not through satellites or magic. The primary pathway from North America to Asia actually goes through Japan. Now when the earth's tectonic plates shift 10 feet or so it directly impacts communication between Asian countries such as South Korea and the rest of the world.

Yeah, I'll be cheering you on in your TSL3 match... Seriously though are you comparing your macro to someone like FD?
