( Oh well at least 1 protoss will be in the final, July could probably take out anypro. But man in final he has to face MC or San, and no way in hell anyone from Zerg or Terran can beat those 2 guys [GSL March] Code S Ro8 Day 2 - Page 116

Any single balance remark or non game related argument after page 77 gets an insta 2 week ban. It's mindboggling that I still have to state the obvious.

I don't actually mind if any race is dominating, just annoys me that we have two relatively weak players in the RO4, and both of them happen to be Protoss. (Well, I don't know if July is the greatest either, but he's gotten here with his own crazy unique style, which is always nice to see) So I assume anypro is 1 of 2 weak players, what is the other ? San, or MC ? You call San is a weak player, then how the hell did he keep winning in a long ass straight up macro game against anyone, not including never use Colossus or 4 gates. Give him some credits man, he deserved it. No one can macro, micro, and harass like him as protoss, even MC.

If he had combined forcefields with Khydarin amulet High Templars, I don't think sC would have stood a fraction of a chance.

He had low sentry counts throughout the entire thing, there isn't enough gas to keep his massive production of templars and sentries at the same time.

And now people are surprised that he beat a bunch of Terrans and Zergs????? He was undefeated against Terrans in series even since he was "the worst player ever", and he only lost to one zerg ever. San's PvP is what made him the worst player in the GSL, as that was the only match-up he lost, but he managed to play it almost every season early on. San's sudden burst in skill isn't that amazing, yes he has gotten better, but still, he hasn't faced a Protoss all this season, and that's the MU he is famously bad at. People are being realllly superficial is seems this season with the Kelly fiasco and praising San as a god. Yea he beat NesTea, in one game, once, that's it, and he was just 0-2 against Zergs up until then -- not really a good reference point to show that he is bad against zerg. : | AND Protoss is better in general than before. TL;DR: San didn't improve that much if at all, Protoss in general did, he was only considered bad because of his PvP, which he managed to avoid this season. San will not win. Period. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=200022 <- this thread to examine as well.

He always seems to have a low sentry count, especially compared to the likes of MC or Huk. And I gotta say, I love it!

July vs San... that will be epic. Both players have gotten really good recently. And MC vs anypro right? Either way a protoss will advance, so that's cool. Would prefer MC though. MC vs July Finals please!

I'm hanging for an MC vs July final too ![]()

With the influx of larger macro maps Protoss can reach that deathball easier. But at the same time, Protoss players are getting better at countering other races' strats along with some new, powerful strats of their own (6gate push, etc...)
