If the finals come down to MC vs July, I will be happy. I really hope July will do well, because right now Zerg players really need someone to look up to Idra is gone from GSL and Nestea was dropped into up 'n down matches. You're not going to be happy, since ro4=MC vs July. They can't meet in the finals, they're on the same side of the bracket. IMO the winner of that RO4 will win the final. No they're not. MC plays the winner of san vs SC, and July plays the winner of Lyn vs anypro.

Nada lost that game, and gave it to July.
His tank push was exceptionally bad, not siege-stepping at all!!
So that let the muta/bane/ling combo easily crush that force (as it should have).
But let's get this straight.
Nada lost that game. July won it.. but Nada gave him a BIG helping hand.

NaDa has something with tank pushes that he just sucks at, same happened during his games against MKP last season.

Do you guys think Thors would even counter July's play effectively? Thors seem too immobile to catch up to his beastly muta control IMO

Thors seem too immobile to catch up to his beastly muta control IMO Thors take forever to build, and Nada really needed tanks to fight off the banelings that were rolling towards his pushes and expansions every so often.
After losing so many tanks with each push, Nada really needed to keep up tank production and could not afford to delay it to get Thors out. Plus, July could easily magic box and snipe Nada's Thors and kill his marines with banelings had he not had the critical number of tanks needed to defend.

Well, as much as July is lacking in the macro part of the game he sure proves most other zergs are lacking in the tactical side. When, where, how, what to engage. He knows and is decisive in his play which ultimately gets him wins as long as he maintains a working economy.
It seems to show mostly than we still have no player that can do both sides of the zerg play, perfect macro while not just 1a (or equivalent) with your army into the enemy - I think both Idra had mistakes like this in his Clash of the Titans games, Ret lost to exactly positioning/engagement @ IEM, even with their perfect overwhelming macro and economies.

Thors seem too immobile to catch up to his beastly muta control IMO The Thors would have had to either defend one area in decent numbers, while the marines covered the second and third or be spread out and isolated against the massive Muta ball. The way he was playing July probably would have found a way to isolate or avoid the Thors as necessary; his Muta control was amazing.

I liked July counter pushes instead of directly engaging in several fights in the last game. It really but Nada on the back foot despite him taking out an expo.

Well Nada lost to July in a close series so I can't be too sad. Here's to Nada winning the next gsl!

Is there a replay of the last game? I was at school reading this thread, and now I'm curious about the game.:D

It's up on gomtv.net

A replay? I think GOM does not release replays of their games. Julyzergs timings are insane, I remember thinking the same when I first saw him playing SC2, especially with mutas, he just knows perfectly where and when he has to attack.

Replays aren't released for GSL games, but VODS are put up on GomTV.net about 8 hours after the matches air.
Edit: Although you'll need to be a season ticket holder if you want to watch past the first game.

If there's anyone out there who can point me to a recording of it, that would be awesome! I second this! I also managed to miss the entire series, makes me sad Buy a ticket at www.gomtv.net and don't you dare tell us that actually watched it, that it isn't worth $10. If he is like me, buying a ticket means supporting Kelly as caster as the same ticket is for Code A and Code S and I do not want to support Kelly. I decided to vote with my money.
Eish. Whoever/whatever is casting, that $10 buys me entertainment, supports (in an admittedly, very, very small way) an esport I enjoy watching and doesn't cause me to come off like a petulant child with posts like that. Add that to nachos, a few mates watching the games with you on vent...that's a good time.
It's your decision obviously, but trumpeting it like you deserve a pat on the back is pretty weird.

the next champ is going to come from this side of the bracket for sure.

I have a feeling that another Zerg is gonna win. I was hopping for a NaDa July Finals. Really wish NaDa would win this GSL.
Anyone know when NaDa is going to do his Military service?

Despite July being a huge baller, I can't see anyone other than MC winning this GSL at this point.
