Inca basically soloed his completely. So the idiots saying the Koreans arent making an effort to interact with the non-Kor scene or whatever... just dont even start. I don't even see how people can think that the Koreans aren't making an effort without a smug troll face. Even if the Startale or oGs VODs were pre-written they still took a few minutes to make a video which is cool enough. I am not posting this to contradict you I believe that the oGs guys made their videos themselves and they have always stood out as welcoming to the west to me. After all you guys live with them which is pretty incredible in and of itself. However the proof is in the pudding and its quite clear that both ST and oGs are making an effort to interact with the non-Korean scene as both teams released a bunch of videos and thats more than we could have dreamed of in BW, and the videos are in English!

It's ridiculous that people are citing an audition tape as evidence of Korean's non-interaction with the non-Korean scene when GOM has a foreigner house, foreigner casters and an English stream. NASL HYPE.

No surprise, oGs player shake things up quite a bit, no matter how you look at it. But it's also not an auto-qualify for every single member like some feared, especially looking at the TLPD ratings. In all seriousness though, it makes me really happy to hear this. I'm very happy to hear that Koreans are making this much of an effort to be a part of the scene outside of Korea. Thank you for clarifying this for everyone Jinro.

By the way, are the oGs B-teamers going to make applications? No Hero, STC, Jookto etc?

I wonder when the Koreans even found out about it and if anyone even bothered to translate a due date to them. I expect that NASL will just disqualify all the Koreans with the due date and make their lives easier not having to pick from all these Korean superstars. Wouldn't that be hilarious/horrible?

One thing I don't get though - I thought Jinro/Huk didn't apply because they needed to leave room for GSL Code S. How can the Code S OGS guys do this and Jinro/Huk not?

How can the Code S OGS guys do this and Jinro/Huk not? I wasnt comfortable with the times in combination with playing Code S games, on potentially the same day... Im not sure how I feel about the decision given how many koreans signed up anyway, but my reasoning was that Im not nearly as good at falling asleep at random times as most every korean Ive ever met seems to be (i.e they can play until 7, sleep 5 hours, wake up, play, sleep 2 hours after dinner and just be fine... Id end up with a wasted day). Anyway, I dunno, its too late to change anything now and I have lots of tournaments going anyway.

They probably know they don't have a real shot at getting in and are just doing it to support each other and make themselves better known in North America for future tournaments. This is just season 1 of NASL after all.

I've asked Xeris about it, but there's been no official word. The deadline will probably be extended - "to accommodate miscommunication issues with certain teams" or something. Who knows how they'll handle this. :p On March 17 2011 06:39 yoshi_yoshi wrote: Awesome. Huk and Jinro want to concentrate on GSL, give it their full attention. Nothing more to it. edit: beaten by the man himself. ![]()
